when i look at the history of amercia, i can't help but to wonder what america's actual goals are. upon the surfice, it appears that they want all people to be free and rightful. so they fight the coreans in nam, bomb afghanistan and the most recent, iraq. it is a joyfull thing to see the afghan girls look happy and hopeful, but still i cannot shake off this disturbing feeling that uncle sam has different plans for his nefues. the absurdaty of this war (which i'm not against!) has made this mere peasant (me) wonder about where this world will end up. in a few days i'll be visiting Hirushima, and many times i wonder whether is this all worth it, or not. at this very moment, i trully believe that the world is heading the right way. but the philospher Imaniual kunt (forgive me if i missedspelled his name) sayd that "to strive for an uptopia will only bring distruction in the long run". it is something that many times keeps me up, and i wanted to know if i'm the only one. furthermore, i'd like to hear you opinions on the utopia.
thank you

A utopia is possible in theory, but we as a race have a long way to go before it is achievable. I would like to think that we will have the oppertunity to progresss to that point, though the future is far from certain.

Very interesting observations Marcus.

Surely gives me things to think about and what the future holds.

To say that the US is after a Eutopian Society or world order...you will probably be blasted out off of this earth. But when you begin to think and recollect....maybe this is something that is hidden deep down inside of everyone who lives on this Earth (not just the US).

Everyone wants world peace, if there was world peace....it is in essence a "Eutopian World Society". So I think much of what you have said has much credit and merit.

Something to really ponder on, at least for me.
