| Currently there is a battle brewing in Washington between the Defense department and the State department over this. Chalabi is a defense department man by reports, while the State Department wants to get someone out of the local communities of Iraq.
I hope for the latter, however who knows if there is anyone left in Iraq qualified for the position, or if they are qualified were they tied to Sadam too closely?
So, as far as it stands now, the State department has a very difficult task ahead that will take some time. I would say at least 6 months. | |
