Thoughts on the season premiere?

I watched last night's season debut and while I did laugh, I didn't see any one particular talent that stood out.

45 people were chosen as semi-finalists to battle it out in New York. Tonight that will be cut to 20.

I have faith in the producers. Hopefully they can find a good band of quirky comics. I say bring back Dave Mordall... but that's just me.

But yeah, I mean, anyone was better than Dat Phan. That dude sucked butt. His material was tired. It's like, he was a less funny Margaret Cho with hints of Kevin Meaney. Horrible. Dude came to my area a few months ago with Tess and one other reject, I even had free tickets, didn't go.

Yeah he pretty much told the same jokes over and over again. If he didn't impersanate his mother he never would have won.

Dave should have won damn it, I mean ralphy was funny too, but come on who not gonna laught at a fat dude making fun of himself.
Dave had like actualy material. He was so funny, man I miss that guy.

Same here. Even Rich Vos would is better than Dat Phan. Seriously, Dave Mordal and Rich Vos should be in a sitcom. I would watch.

yeah rich vos. I forgot all about that guy. He was pretty funny too. What was it they used to call him in the house. The God Father? Was that it?

Yeah, that's what they called him.

Him and Mordal in the bath tub was classic.

Dave is/was my fave too.

Last season ... I forgot ... how did the elims work when 2 faced off and how was the final winner determined ? Was it Judges, viewing audience, or house audience vote ? For some reason I think I recall that it was always a house vote. Is that correct ?

Last season, the first five were eliminated in a head-to-head compettion at a club where the audience voted for their fav. Loser went home. Producers always have their hand in it though.
