LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez has married her current boyfriend, salsa singer Marc Anthony, barely five months after breaking her much-publicized engagement to actor Ben Affleck, Us Weekly reported Saturday.
The magazine said Lopez, 33, married Latin music star Anthony, 34, at her home in Los Angeles Saturday in front of about 40 guests. Us Weekly said it had pictures of a giant tent assembled on the estate and of guests coming and going among tables covered in white table cloths and flower centerpieces.
"It was a lovely low-key intimate affair for the closest friends and family, " Us reported a friend as saying.
"She didn't hardly tell anyone. Everyone was surprised," another unidentified friend told the magazine.
Representatives for Lopez and Anthony could not immediately be reached for comment.
The reported marriage comes less than a week after Anthony was granted a quickie divorce in the Dominican Republic from his wife of four years, Dayanara Torres, a former Miss Universe.
It would be the third marriage for Lopez, the sultry star whose previous trips down the aisle have both lasted a little over a year.
Tabloid news reports have linked Anthony and Lopez for weeks.
They noted that Lopez had recently returned the giant pink diamond engagement ring she was given by Affleck during the stormy "Bennifer" affair that rose to a fever pitch last September when the couple called off their wedding at short notice, citing excessive media intrusion.
Affleck and Lopez officially broke their engagement in January and both have maintained a low profile since then. But by May, Lopez was seen wearing another diamond, reportedly given to her by Anthony.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Sean Combs, the self-proclaimed "bad boy for life," says Jennifer Lopez is his "girl for life," even after her surprise weekend wedding to Marc Anthony.
The hip-hop mogul, who had a high-profile, two-year relationship with Lopez, said he's glad his ex has found love with someone new, but added that she'll always be important to him.
Lopez and Anthony reportedly tied the knot Saturday in a small ceremony at her Beverly Hills home. Anthony's publicist would not comment Monday. Lopez's spokesperson didn't immediately return a call Monday, but told The Associated Press on Sunday that he had no comment.
"If she's in love with somebody and that makes her happy, I'm happy for her," Combs tells "Access Hollywood" in an interview airing Monday night. "That's my girl for life."
But dancer Cris Judd, Lopez's second husband, said he was surprised to learn that she'd married Anthony, the Latin singer she first dated in 1999.
"She did?" Judd asked, then added, "You know what? I wish her and Marc the best and hey, if it's true to her heart then by all means."
Judd then turned to the syndicated entertainment show's cameras and sent the newlyweds a message: "Jen, Marc, I wish you the best, and happiness, definitely."
And the man who could have been husband No. 3, Ben Affleck, gave the union "two thumbs up," according to US Weekly.
This is the third marriage for the 34-year-old Lopez -- the first was to waiter Ojani Noa in 1997, the second to Judd in 2001. Noa lasted a little more than a year; Judd for nine months.
The singer-actress also was engaged to Affleck, her "Gigli" co-star, but amid a huge media frenzy they canceled their plans in September 2003 and broke up in January.
Anthony, 34, just divorced former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres last week in the Dominican Republic. They married in 2000 and have two young sons; Anthony also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
Anthony is scheduled to appear on NBC's "Today" show and ABC's "The View" on Tuesday to promote his new album, "Amar Sin Mentiras," which means "To Love Without Lies" in Spanish.
I agree with Gabo....Ben's probably saying to himself..."better him then me." And the others are probably just happy its over with!
BTW...in case no one knew this and sorry if I missed it reported in the articles above...but British bookies are taking bets on how long it will last...
Bookies Offer 3-1 Odds on Quick End to J-Lo Marriage
Mon Jun 7, 8:22 AM ET
LONDON (Reuters) - British bookmakers offered odds of 3-1 Monday that singer/actress Jennifer Lopez and her new husband Marc Anthony would divorce by the end of the year.
Lopez, 33, has already been through two marriages that lasted little more than a year. She broke off an A-list celebrity engagement to actor Ben Affleck in January after the couple called off their wedding last September.
Anthony was granted a quickie divorce in the Dominican Republic a week ago from his wife of four years, a former Miss Universe (news - web sites).
Ladbrokes is also offering 10 to one odds that "J-Lo marries more than eight times in her life, beating Elizabeth Taylor," a spokesman said.
Those who never quite accepted that Lopez and Affleck had split for good after one of Hollywood's most tumultuous romances also have a chance to bet.
The bookmakers are offering 14-1 odds that Affleck and Lopez are married by the end of 2004.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Saying his personal life is off-limits, singer Marc Anthony refused to confirm Tuesday whether he's married to Jennifer Lopez.
During an appearance on NBC's "Today" show, co-host Matt Lauer asked the Latin singer how he'd spent his weekend.
"I see where you're going with this, and I'm going to preface it with just saying -- y'all know I don't talk about my personal life," Anthony said.
Lauer replied: "So, I -- do I need to congratulate you?"
"Yeah, I have two albums coming out, man. Absolutely. And I would appreciate it," the 34-year-old singer said.
Anthony, who performed in Rockefeller Plaza, could be seen wearing what appeared to be a wedding band on his left hand.
When Lauer continued to ask whether a wedding had taken place Saturday at Lopez's home in Beverly Hills, California, Anthony responded, "That would fall into the category of personal. And that's where I'm going to leave it."
Lopez's representative didn't immediately return a call Monday, but told The Associated Press on Sunday that he had no comment.
This would be the third marriage for the 33-year-old Lopez -- the first was to waiter Ojani Noa in 1997, the second to Cris Judd in 2001. Noa lasted a little more than a year; Judd for nine months.

gaboman said this in post #6 : I though Liz was married more than 8 times...
Conrad Hilton
John W. Warner
She married Richard Burton twice...
Michael Wilding
umm... who else? I guess it may just be 8 times, now that I think of it
But taking bets of J Lo beating that well, it may take 50 years to find out!
Taylor has had seven husbands and has been married eight times. The guy list begins with hotel heir Nicky Hilton, followed by Michael Wilding, Mike Todd, Eddie Fisher, Richard Burton (twice), Senator John Warner and Larry Fortensky.
schmiggens said this in post #15 : Actually mystic, they might not even been married. Rumours are that Marc's divorce never went through properly and he is still married to his ex.
Seriously????
OMG...that would be funny!
Do you suppose if he isnt divorced that Jen would remarry him, and then divorce him because he messed everything up for their first ceremony?
Yeah seriously, their divorce was lodged in the Dominican Republic or something and they have to wait 60 days after it's lodged for a cooling off period to go through, Marc only waited four days, so they're saying it's not legally finalised yet. They are looking into whether he can be charged with bigomy
I think that J. lo is desperate for love. Or looking for her lost soul mate but cant find him. Lets wait and see how long it will be it will be until she finds somebody else.
