How do you think or want the books to end?

With Harry defeating Voldemort... many will have died in the wake of things.

Yeah, that's the only way it can end, but then what? Do they all just live happily ever after, or is there more?

I think the ending will almost be a bit like the fifth book. Harry defeats voldmort once again, and hopefully for the last time, but for some reason i get a hunch that somone really close and special to us all will die, possibly hermione ron or dumbledore

does anyone think Jk would ever have voldmort kill harry in the end ? ok i do not want this to happen, im just saying like what if? that would be awful.. also i think it would be really hard to end a series like that. .. like how could she end it?

Well, we know that the last chapter of book 7 is to be an epiloge, and I'm sure that it will have a synopsis on each of the characters, and what happened, and where they went, etc...

I can't see her doing that... for the simple fact that she would lose so many fans.
But, who knows... My heart would break to see Harry, Ron or Hermione die.

How do I want it to end? Harry defeating Voldemort, finding Sirius alive and bringing him back and Lupin, Hagrid and Dumbledore surviving.

How do I think it will end. Dumbledore will be fighting Voldemort. He will allow himself to be killed to give Harry the anger to kill Voldemort. For the Avada Kedavra curse to work you have to mean it with every fiber of your being.

i agree sherry. I really do. Which sucks because dumbledore is my favorite character.

I know. Dumbledore and Harry are so dear to me. Lupin too

I don't think Harry will die. That would be a bad idea. I think he will end up with exactly what he wants, a family. I think he will end up with Ginny, and Ron will end up with Hermione. I think the Dursleys may die. It's just a theory though. And Harry has always called Hogwarts his true home so I think he will stay there. Possibly as the DADA professor.

Good call Heather. I said a very long time ago that I thought Harry would be the permanent DADA teacher. I would also love to see him grow up and marry Ginny. She is a great character and then Harrry would officially be a member of the Weasley family.

Snape's been wanting the job for a long time, and there's no love loss between them anyway. I can't wait till book 6 to see how Harry did on his O.W.L.S.

There is a thread a few pages back about speculating on how they did on owls. You can start a new thread on it.

I have a feeling Snape might die to protect Harry and help him defeat Voldemort.

I think it's significant that Ginny had a crush on Harry, Harry saved her life, they both have had to deal with Voldemort so there is a bond there, she's Harry's ticket to having a family. The hero of most children's stories usually ends up with the girl. I knew early on it wouldn't be Hermione though. And Ron would approve of Harry. He hasn't approved of any of Ginny's boyfriends yet.

I never thought about Snape, that's a good point Sherry.

It would teach Harry that even mean people can be honorable and do good things.

And it could teach kids that even seemingly mean teachers can just be looking out for your best interests.

yea but i highly doubt snape is looking out for harrys best interests, he kinda proved that when he did a horrible job teaching harry occlumency

I think the who occlumency thing was a disaster because of Snape's grudge against against Harry's father. And Harry didn't put any effort into learning it. Even the best teachers can't teach a child who doesn't want to learn.

I think the whole point of the occlumency lessons was to show that there is a reason and possible justification for Snape's behaviour towards Harry. Perhaps JK is giving him a sensitivity that would make his possible death a little more bittersweet.

Yet another great thought Mike. I also think that Harry had to see that James was all to human, not some super guy that did no wrong. There is not always black and white alone. There is a gray area too.

It kind of knocked Harry off his pedastal, which is what he needed.
