JKR said that the last chapter of book 7 is an epilogue to tell what happens to the survivors.

Who do you think will die? Surely popular characters will die also and some students as well.

Yes, she's said that there are more deaths to come.

I'm worried that Peter has that silver hand now for a reason, and that it will be to kill a werewolf. Though, is that TOO obvious?

I think it is too obvious. I think it is a red-herring planted by JKR. I think Peter will die, and that Dumbledore will as well. Dumbledore will allow himself to be killed to give Harry the anger to kill Voldemort. Remember, you can't perform a killing curse unless you mean it with every fiber of your being.

I agree... she's got to have red herrings all over the place. That's one reason why I don't think that Sirius is dead. But, that's just me... I refuse to believe that he's gone to his death.

Dumbledore will most likely be killed.... and I think that some of the Weasley's will too.

Yes, a Weasley is supposed to die in the next book. I think it will be Percy or Charlie.

I think there will be Muggle deaths too.

I'm pretty sure that there will be muggles that die... and if it's Vernon or Dudley, I won't feel bad at all.

Has anyone else thought that Hermione's parents may be the Muggles that die? Malfoy hates her, so why not kill her parents?

VERY good point, Sherry... I NEVER thought about Hermione's parents.
I think thats because we never see them, or really hear anything about them.
Wow... how devestating if they died. I wonder what that would do to Hermione.

Remember in book 3 that they went to Diagon Alley and met the Weasley's. Malfoy made it a point to mention to Hermione when he met her that her parents were muggles. Draco has mentioned that he wants Hermione to die, so why not get dad to kill her parents?

Yes, I do remember that... and everytime Draco is around Hermione, he spews such hate, calling her a mudblood. As we all know, that's the lowest thing you can call a witch, or wizard, who comes from muggle parents.

Well, obviously, whatever happens at the end of book 7, will have to be huge. Harry will be helped by his best friends, and that is what is going to kill Voldemort. Something terrible is going to have to happen for them to get mad enough to kill him. We already are pretty sure a Weasley is going to die, so that will be Ron's motivation. Dumbledore will probably die, so that will be Harry's motivation, and Hermione's motivation may be her parent's deaths.

Of course, I could be wrong, but it's fun to speculate.

I don't understand why Harry is going to use the killing curse. Wouldn't Voldemort be able to still live on in spirit, just like he did after giving Harry his scar? I think it will be something much more spectacular and unexpected.

The curse would work on him now. He has some of Harry's blood making him mortal. There is no counter curse to the death curse. Harry could get a dementor to suck out his soul. That would be great. Voldemort was told by Dumbledore that there are things worse than death. Existing without a soul is one.

Yes, Harry can't use a curse on Voldemort... the sucking-soul idea is a good one though. We haven't heard of a dementor accomplishing a kiss yet! it's supposed to be unbearable even to watch!

No G, Barty Crouch Jr. had a kiss administered to him.

See Grant, MM didn't forget the first kiss in the HP series.

What is that supposed to imply?

Wait a minute. Are you thinking what I think you are thinking?
