My favorite Idol is Clay Aiken. He won my heart last year with his sweet voice....and he is my all time favorite Idol....

I agree that Kelly did have the best voice so far...I like male singers better, so I went with Clay being my favorite because he is the best guy singer that they have had...but I agree that Kelly..their lucked out when they found her because she has the best voice over all so far.......(or ever...because there is no other Kelly Clarkson)

Why does everyone think that Tamyra should of won over Kelly? I thought Kelly was better.....

My favorite is CAMILE VELASCO.. aside from being so humble.. she has a unique kind of voice.. husky and soothing.. she's close to her fans and befriended them.. gotta represent our gurl... go CAMILE...

As far as male and female go Clay and Kelly are my favorites, there are not enough words in any language to describe Clay and Kelly just has an amazing voice and she rocks!! I love them both but I love Clay more....

I think Clay got lucky with American Idol and I think American Idol got lucky with Clay... whenever they say he will be on, ratings will soar. I think he is the most successful person, with the most fans, to come from American Idol, and I think he deserves it because his voice is absolutely amazing. A lot of the other contestants are excellent, but there's something about Clay that made people latch on to him like he is... our Idol.

I think Idol lucked out when they found Clay and Kelly. Both are the best ever on the show and I don't really think that there is someone out there who will ever have a voice like Kelly's or out sell Clay (who comes off the show, Idol)...they both just had something special that we all loved....

Tasiaisthabest, fantasia probably couldnt go on world idol, because it was only the 1st year contestants. (if ruben can't go, then neither could fantasia)...

because of Clay's highly devoted fans, i think he would beat ruben and fantasia if there were to be some kind of voting thing... Yes, I know he didn't win.... and Yes, I know there won't be some kind of "voting thing" .... just a thought though..

Clay's fans are awesome and I think if him and Ruben ever went head to head again...I think Clay just may walk away with the title this time but I know that will never happen.

I think Clay is the best off of Idol with Kelly in a close 2nd (sorry no one from this year...although I had my favorites were close to as good as they were in my mind)...and their tour was such the right match-up.....

Clay is my true Idol, he is a great role modle, cute, and has a voice that gives me shivers every time i hear it (seriously!). i didnt watch the first season but i do think Kelly is awsome and from this year I loved LaToya she was the best in this season

these two are my favorite idols, mainly because their singing style is what i prefer to listen to. I also like LaToya London, Jennifer Hudson, Camile Velasco, Leah Labelle, and George Huff, they all have unique types of r&b voices.

Mine are Clay and Kelly because just both have awesome sounding voices.

I also like Diana, Kimberley, RJ, JPL, and John stevens...much like the signature says...I don't care who walks away with being the American Idol because these are all my idols in my eyes

I watched her on the TODAY show, and I thought she sounded worse then she did on Idol...I'm talking about Fantasia....

Isn't that saying something about you that you assume that because she preferred Clay to Ruben and does not like Fantasia that she is a hater? That is a very strong accusation to level against someone. Music is music. It is all about sound. I don't like Fantastia, I preferred Clay to Ruben, but I like plenty of black artists.

Speaking of Fantasia...wana talk about fate? I read an article that Fantasia really wasn't even supposed to try out because she got to the audiitons too late. However a security guard let her in after hearing her voice. Wow, I call that pure fate. And it's really good for her. I used to not like Fantasia much...however, after watching her on Ryan Seacrest with the other top 12, I thought she was really funny and entertaining. I started to really like her for her personality. However, I still dont' care much for her voice. I mean there's no doubt she's talented, but it's just not my kind of style.

Overall though, you know my favorite contestant was Michaek Keown who didn't even make the top 32 (still hoping for an AI4 comeback). However, out of the top 12...I really like Clay Aiken, Josh Gracin, John Stevens, Diana Degarmo, and LaToya London. And I really liked Fantasia's performance when she sang "Greatest Love of All".

You Guys are getting way too emotional, we are supposed to be friends of the Idols not the fight clubl Anyway the only one i think is in a class by him self is Clay.

hey, hey, why all this flaming? Why can't everyone just accept each other's own personal opinions? Not everyone likes the same things. What kind of boring world would it be if everyone is exactly identical and with identical interests? And I read through this thread to get the whole story. Maybe hot4johnstevens could have done without the post saying "I'm glad you like her, because I don't". Or maybe it could have been said in different words, but MissBW, it doesn't give you the right to flame her like that and throw wild accusations. And it was rude of you saying that hot4johnstevens should get her ears cleaned out just because she doesn't like Fantasia's voice. Yes, I agree, that Fantasia has a really good voice. However she has a really distinct style that most people either like or dislike. As for me, I like Fantasia as a person, but I'm still not into her style of singing (with the exception of her "Greatest Love of All" performance). Keep in mind that not everyone likes the same things. And the purpose of this messageboard is to have a friendly community in which people can have discussions about a shared interest of a tv show without going down on anyone.

Oh Justin andKelly's movie is on HBO i noticed for tonight. I heard it was baddddd. One star, on the tV guide. YUk!

I really liked Justin. seems so long ago. and Clay has over whelmed the Industry. Like Josh Groban ( know him Sherry?) He is all over the billboard, he started on Ally McBeal which I was watching at the time. He sang and I guess the world toook to him.
Thats really why the fans have so m;uch to do with a persons success.
