MADONNA BRANDED A "SLUT"

Queen of Pop Madonna has been branded a "slut" by Michael Jackson's Jewish adviser Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

The rabbi makes the comments in an article for Somethingjewish.com -- in which he attacks the Kabbalah Center for using Madonna as a figurehead for the mystical religion.

Boteach blasts, "Earth to (Kabbalah leader) Phillip Berg: Do us all a favor and dump Madonna as your principal spokesperson.

"Sorry to be so crass, but Madonna is a slut. Yes, she may sing, and she may dance. But she is famous for being a slut. And no religion dare have a slut as its principal representative.

"Is the Kabbalah Center really so desperate that it is prepared to promote itself through a vulgarian whose main contribution to the culture is porn rock?"

The singer is stunned by the attack. Her spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg tells gossip site the Scoop, "I find Rabbi Boteach's comments regarding Madonna frightening. His vile attacks on her character and as an artist are staggering for someone who professes to be a religious person.

"I suggest this man take a look at his own character and what problems he may have that would make him feel that he should make statements about a truly beautiful human being that he does not know in the slightest.

"Madonna's relationship with the Kabbalah and her commitment to their teachings has been a beautiful experience for her and the fact that Madonna wants to share her lessons is yet another example of her truly generous and loving spirit."

RABBI BLASTS MADONNA AGAIN AND CALLS FOR PUBLICIST TO QUIT

Jewish cultural adviser Rabbi Schmuley Boteach has fired back at comments made about his unsavory view of Madonna by insisting the pop star's publicist should resign.

Boteach, a former adviser to Michael Jackson, suggested Madonna should be removed from her role as the spokesperson for the Kabbalah movement because she's a "slut" in an article on British Web site www.SomethingJewish.co.uk earlier this week.

Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg admitted she was appalled by Boteach's harsh words, stating, "I find Rabbi Boteach's comments regarding Madonna frightening. His vile attacks on her character and as an artist are staggering for someone who professes to be a religious person."

But Boteach isn't backing down. In a new posting on the Web site, he insists Rosenberg should consider distancing herself from her boss.

He writes "Women like Liz Rosenberg, especially, who have greatly distinguished themselves professionally through their brains rather than their busts, should be at the forefront of criticizing Madonna's assault on feminine dignity.

"For two decades Madonna has been allowed to destroy the female recording industry by erasing the line that separates music from pornography.

"Even highly original performers like Janet Jackson now feel the pressure to expose their bodies on national TV in order sell albums. This in turn has spawned the lascivious careers of Madonna copycats like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

"For Madonna to put herself forward as a spiritual spokesperson while continuing to degrade women by simulating sex acts at music concerts, portray full nudity in her movies, and to ridicule lesbians by performing same-sex kisses merely for TV ratings, is a mockery of her claims to a life of spiritual renewal based on the teachings of the Kabbalah."

MADONNA'S husband Guy Ritchie has admitted he thought the Kabbalah cult was only after his wife's money.

The film director was deeply sceptical of the religious group, which both he and the world-famous pop star now belong to.

He said: 'I was intrigued but sceptical and very, very suspicious because I thought they were targeting my wife for the simple reason that she was rich and they wanted her money.' But reformed cynic Ritchie is now a confirmed member after meeting founder Rabbi Philip Berg.

Yesterday he launched a passionate defence of the religion, known as 'Jewish mysticism'.

He told a Sunday newspaper: 'Put it this way, I've never met a kabbalahist who is a ****.'

Speaking publicly for the first time about his beliefs, Ritchie, 35, added: 'Kabbalah is simply an extension of the way most of us try to live our lives. It's just about being a decent person.'

I wouldn't be surprised if they DO want her for her money. But also more so for the star status. She is making Kabbalah "cool", she has gotten other stars on the bandwagen to help make it cool. That will draw young people in and if they stick with it, their kids, and so on and so on.

RITCHIE'S 'EVIL EYE' FOR MADONNA KABBALAH CRITIC

Madonna's husband Guy Ritchie reportedly gave an outspoken rabbi the "evil eye" during a restaurant encounter, after the rabbi described the singer as a "slut."

Ritchie was dining in New York's new kosher eatery Solo on Thursday night, when he came face-to-face with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

Boteach had previously demanded Los Angeles-based Kabbalah center head Rabbi Phillip Berg "dump Madonna as (their) principal spokesman."

A source tells Page Six, "They were eating there at the same time, although not together, and Guy was definitely giving Shmuley what Kabbalists call the 'evil eye.'

"It was like the showdown at the OK Corral."
