LEGENDARY rockers Metallica caused a last-minute panic when they asked organisers to change the layout of the stage. Heavy metal men Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett had originally told organisers they wanted a 150m barrier put in front of their stage. Download organisers had even been sent specific plans of how to lay out the front of house area.
But when Metallica arrived at Glasgow Green the boys threw a diva strop over the layout. An insider said: 'Metallica have caused us a lot of hassles. The metal barrier is very heavy and we had to employ a lot of people to change the way it was set up.'
Meanwhile, the band were delighted to get a chance to see their favourite band The Lost Prophets.
They have performed with the Prophets in the past and always try to catch them in full swing. | |
