Actually, that's not exactly right. Fraternal doesn't mean Identical.
Fraternal means the twins are from two different eggs and are no more alike than individual siblings born at different times.
Identical twins are from the same egg that splits and they have the same genetic information.
However, in some rare cases, fraternal twins could LOOK 'identical' (in the sense that they strongly resemble each other) although they are not Identical twins. Some scientists have argued there is a third twin type to explain this occurance.
Dr. HECK is out.

| Posted by: HECK! | | They do look practically the same, which would make people think they are identical. But they are fraternal twins, meaning they are each from a different egg and swimmer. They kind of fall into that debated third category I mentioned above.
They are like any other fraternal twins... I've seen some that look nothing alike, one blond and short the other brunette and tall. One could even be male and the other female. Mother Nature is a waaaaaaaacky lady (but cool).
