The latest that I've heard as far as rumors are that the voting system is somewhat flawed. I don't see the big issue with allowing multiple votes, Diana had multiple votes as well--and I believe that even with multiple votes she wouldn't have won.

Another thing I heard is that Diana knew she didn't win 10 minutes before the announcement. If you noticed, her reaction didn't show a single bit of remorse.

I think Diana knew in her heart that Fantasia had it....

Ryan said on his show that he went out of his way, to make sure Diana and Fantasia didn't know...after what happen last year...

Last year...Ryan must have forgot Clay was taller then him...because when he was standing close to Clay but kinda had his back to him...Clay looked over his shoulder and by seeing how long the name is...Clay knew he wasn't going to win....if you see his face last year...he didn't look that upset (like Diana this year)...Ryan shared this story Thursday on his show....Clay had told him..about him being able to read it over Ryan's shoulder...

That's why this year...he had nothing written on the card, he held in front of Diana and Fantasia.....

I knew something was "up" when they asked Diana to sing "I Believe" before the results were announced. I figured whoever the winner was would end the show with "I Believe".

I knew because I started picking up on Ryan giving audience hints as to who was going. For example when Latoya got booted. He said "What Have You Done America?" In a very weird tone. Than on the final when he announced Diana to sing I Believe he said "One More Time Diana DeGarmo" when it was Fantasia he said "Once Again Fantasia Barrino". Am I the only one picking up on this?

It was pretty clear that Diana knew or had a pretty strong feeling before Ryan announced, but not because she didn't deserve to win.

Diana said they told them the one who sang I believe last on the show would be the winner. She knew Fantasia had won.

American Idol really needs to get it's act together. I mean how hard is it to stop someone from finding out they won on the very last episode? They made it all this way without any mishabs, but when it comes to the final, Ryan starts giving hints, names on cards start being read, people who get asked to sing know whether or not they've won just because of the order in which they have performed.

This is really ridiculous, They can get 20 000 people to perform on the show, they top the ratings over any other show and it's probably the biggest and most widely watched show on the history of television. If they can organise such a massive event like this almost effortlesssly, how hard can it be to keep a secret?

I also have a feeling that Jasmine Trias knew she was going before it was announced.

American Idol does need to get it's stuff together. This season was just...bad....They had to many mistakes and I felt bad for Diana. I mean to know that your not winning and to stand there and....already know...had to have killed her. She says she's just happy it's all over....and I know that when she comes home in a week, Snellville is going to make her feel like a winner.

I agree that Ryan needs to watch what he does...and says. I mean first what happen last year with Clay and then what he said when Diana/Fantasia came out. Ryan did say this...when they were running threw it before the real show (witch if you were at one of the special views, you watched this) started, he would have to practice saying both of them as the winner and he said he felt bad saying Diana, because he knew she didn't win.

I think part of it is Ryan....

I think Jasmine knew she was going because i think she knew that Idol was going to make sure Fantasia got through...and Diana....so I think she knew she was gone that week...

I think Idol needs to get it's act together before next season

Ok this is what i think... Diana is the best and even if she did know she won, so what that is not my problem. I hate Fantasia and absolutly thought she sang worse than William Hong. I could not stand her voice and i think Diana will go farther in her career that Fantasia.. That is just my opinion. I thought America made the wrong decision

I wouldn't go that far I am proud of both of them and I think that Diana is going to have a very succesful career

No matter who had won, people would've been able to find "hints" throughout the show to make them think it was rigged.

Does it really matter who won??? No look at Clay....he is doing very well...I think Diana will do well too because she is young, fresh....and has a very powerful voice.....

I think it is just wrong that she knew she wasn't going to win...I think they need to cut that part out....I know if I was in Diana's shoes and I knew all night that I wasn't going to win...I don't think I would have been able to put on a brave face and sing my heart out that night...that shows a lot in Diana.....

But hey you have to look at it this way..Diana got to sing with some great people...counting Fantasia...she got to sing with Kelly, Ruben, Clay, Barry Manilow....I think that was it....

to all those who rallied behind fantasia- please do your homework and find out what really went on behind the scene. You all bragged about how good she is, better than Diana,etc. How could fantasia be better than Latoya????? fantasia has made numerous mistakes along the way but nobody bothered. Simon was commented that fantasia sounds like a duck but later vouched for her.......don't you think something is funny. Anyway, i came to know fantasia shouldn't have won

I don't know if she knew she wasn't going to win, but i'd say she kinda knew it in her heart. fantasia just seems "more qualified" she's older- but not by much - and she has always had Simon on her side... which is huge.

Not to sound mean or put down Fantasia but have you noticed at how they pick on person and then they try to cram that person down everybody's throats to make them win??

Fantasia deserved to win. The others thought they could sing. They just got up and sing. THEY DID NOT TOUGH THE AUDIENCE, THEY DID NOT SING FROM DEEP WITHIN THEIR EMOTION AND THEY DID NOT MOVE THE AUDIENCE. Latoya came over as a laid back, lame duck and appeared as though she was not as driven or ceriously wanted to win. Maybe she was just acting or wanted to please WHITE AMERICA, and appear so prim and proper, SO IT WORKED TO HER DISADVANTAGE, SHE WAS JUST BOOOOOORING, EVEN THOUGH SHE COULD SING.

Fantsia has been singing since the age of 5. THE BARRINO FAMILY HAS THEIR OWN CD OUT ([LINK REMOVED ]) OF WHICH DIANA AND HER MOM WAS THE ONLY TWO FEMALES IN THE GROUP. The family had been touring in the South, and sing at weddings and churches until the musicians moved on to greener pastures. SHE HAS COUSINS IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS.
FANTASIA DESERVED TO WIN! SHE IS SO LOVED AT HOME AND ALSO INTERNATIONALLY. I agree she is loved in NC!! But ok I am tired of it all being racist! For crying out loud! Who cares if a white or black person won? I don't. Some of the contestants had no emotion when some others did. Fantasia sang her heart out but so did Diana.

What I don't get is if Fantasia has family in the music world...why has she not made a CD yet??? I don't know....she does have a voice and she sung her heart out...but so did Diana.

Why does everything always have to be broken down to black vs. white.....

Believe me, I learned early on that a black person will get something over a white. It's sad but how the world works. I have learned that over years, as I have been sir-passed by others just because I am an everyday white girl. I wish we could change it but we can't

I know for once in my life, I wanna be able to call racism but I can't and I do wish that blacks would stop calling it. If we all can't..no one should be able too...
