Some evidence that this whole show is FAKE!

I've noticed two really big clues that Married By America is all scripted and fake.

1. Last week's episode, when Jill & Kevin went to Jill's house to meet the family, Jill's mafia father started yelling, "Why are you two engaged already? It's too soon." Well this is a huge continuity mistake as in Epsiode #1, Jill's father was on the panel to decide which two bachelors America would vote on. All through that show, the host kept saying, "Pick carefully as one of these men will propose marriage to your daughter."

2. At the beginning of last night's episode, we see a clip of Billie Jeanne bawling her face off saying something to the effect of, "How could he do this to me?" which would indicate that Tony cheated on her in Las Vegas. But as the episode progressed, we never once saw that clip again, and when asked about Tony kissing the hooker (oops, stripper) she just shrugged it off and said, "As long as he knows he can't kiss anyone after we are married."

Another clue is they've changed the ending of the show. Up until now, the audience has been told that we'd vote on which couple goes down the aisle. Now it's both couples going down the aisle with only one of them getting the "wedding gift" of the car and house.

I think this whole thing is a sham. They are all probably actors, especially Kevin, since no one has ever really said what he does. FOX is lowering the bar further and further with their "reality" series.

I think there's strong potential that what you say is true.. that there's effectively zero reality to today's "reality tv" (though I don't see how it could get any better than Fear Factor). However each of the two examples you gave above could easily be explained away as:

1) the father has had time to reflect and is now greatly disappointed that they're engaged for marriage. ... then again, he doesn't seem all that disappointed that his little girl has exposed herself to the entire planet in Playboy - maybe he gets off on it *shudder*

2) Billie Jeanne and Tony talked about it a bit and came to an understanding, and her newfound understanding, which perhaps was reached off camera, is exactly what she said: that it's fine so long's extracurricular behavior like that ends with the marriage. ... then again, she didn't seem to have a problem licking whipped cream off some other chick's tits. Yet another double-standard.

Joe Millionaire was as scripted as it gets. Evan, Zora and Sarah all testified to that effect in private interviews. This new should is probably no different and is one of the reasons my initial reaction was "This T.V. show sucks"

but since jill's dad is in the mafia, he probaby forgot about his daughters marriage proposal, u know since he is too busy knockin off people who get in his way

but i agree, this show is really lame but its funny to watch

Why is billie jeanne's roommate a millionaire? Well, I am assuming he is based on the fact that he is a make up artist to the stars and owns his own make up company and spa.

We were shafted all along. I think it'd be a HUGE coincidence that BJ's surrogate dad is a millionaire, she's in the entertainment industry, as is Jill...the 2 grooms have unspecified careers (sales and marketing) and they are both living in California while the brides live in NY.

I feel like such a tard. I was completely duped by FOX!

You know, Billie Jeanne's roomie also seemed so **** familiar and now I know why! I've seen him pushing his makeup product line on TV before!

I think we should all email her and ask her how much FOX paid her to trick her loyal viewers! I'll give her one thing though, when she was bawling her face off in the closet, I could feel one of my heart strings getting tugged at.

I've written into Fox to see if they would like to make any sort of rebuttal - for whatever it's worth.

I regret that I wasted so much time watching this show. The only saving grace is that I have a Tivo so I didn't waste as much as some people. I think this show definately had scripted moments. Just look at the weeding vows. I mean Jill goes on an on about how wonderful the dude is and totally suckers us into thinking that she will marry him. Why would someone say all those things and then just screw us over in the end? Because fox wrote the ending for her. Do you really think she remebered all those lines? No, I am sure she read them from que cards. Out of the four finalists none of them wanted marriage. This show was just a means to further their careers or in Billies case her gay buddies career. Why would billie be so upset with her man anyway. He constantly told her that he did not love her and she refused to listen. Instead she was happy thinking that someday he would. How pathetic is that. Anyway what a sham! Stupid actors anyway.

Stephen was on an episode of All My Children last week. He played an officer making an arrest of one of the main characters. No lines, just scowling at the perp. I was screaming at the TV!! I KNEW MARRIED BY AMERICA WAS FAKE!!!!!!!
