Kelly Osbourne admitted she often was high 24 hours a day to escape loneliness when her family moved to Los Angeles to film MTV's The Osbournes.
Osbourne talked about her addictions when she was interviewed by her brother Jack on Britain's ITV1's Tonight program, airing Monday, BBC reported.
I was completely and utterly miserable, Kelly Osbourne said, revealing she first drank alcohol at 12 before moving on to harder drugs.
Painkillers weren't the only drugs I did ... Towards the end, there wasn't a second in a 24-hour day that I wasn't high on something, she said.
Osbourne said she struggled to find friends in Los Angeles, so she drank to escape what she called her chubby English girl image.
In the beginning, you do it because it makes you feel good and then it gets to the point were it stops making you feel good and you do it because you don't know what else to do, she said. | | Reply To this Message

The New York Post reports Kelly Osbourne was on Miami over the weekend for the Winter Music Conference to promote her forthcoming sophomore album 'Sleeping in the Nothing'.
"She is traveling with [an alcohol] rehabilitation counselor who is with her constantly, making sure she stays on the straight and narrow," a spy revealed. It's apparently working, as Kelly didn't touch any alcohol at Rok bar Thursday night. The prior night, Kelly's mother Sharon snapped at two of her pals who were drinking in front of her daughter.

Magazine: Kelly Osbourne in Drug Rehab
LOS ANGELES - Kelly Osbourne, the 20-year-old daughter of heavy metal star Ozzy Osbourne, has checked herself into a drug treatment center, according to a published report.
Osbourne entered the Pasadena facility on Thursday, Us Weekly reported Friday. A message left for her mother, Sharon Osbourne, was not immediately returned.
A family representative told the magazine that Kelly Osbourne was "dealing with some personal issues" and would be back in a few weeks.
Kelly Osbourne spent several weeks last year at a Malibu drug treatment center for an addiction to prescription pain killers.
Her brother, Jack Osbourne, checked himself into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic in 2003 and Ozzy Osbourne has been candid about his decades of battles with substance abuse.
The siblings became international stars following the success of the MTV reality show "The Osbournes," which showed an oft-dazed Ozzy doting over his family with Sharon.
