To the man behind the screen who calls himself NOWAR.
For sure he doesn't live in the U.S.
But why not, why wouldn't he want to live in the U.S.
One of the only countries to make something of itself in its very young existence. But no. We have a regular hate the U.S., love all the other countries who can't fend for themselves person. All I hear from you 24/7 is how the U.S and Britain lie. Coincedence, I think not. If France and Germany were in this war, this anti-war rat would not be posting anything in here. "We need the support of the whole UN." Bologna!! Why do you think France, Germany, Russia didn't come into this war to help us. Simple. And you have to be pretty dumb not to realize this. Because they love Saddam, they love the business they get from him, they love the business the arab countries give them. You can go on and on about how the U.S gave weapons to Saddam 15 years ago. But the question is, why aren't you asking the same thing about Russia, France, and Germany? They are still giving weapons to Saddam, but we don't hear that argument from you. This is a big double standard. I love how you write such long posts to make it seem like you know everything there is to be known about the U.S.
So here is my post to you.
Read it. Depict it. Disagree with it all you want. Thats fine.
But don't think that you are smarter than everyone or act like you are some peace loving dove, when all you do is summarize U.N guidelines and criticize a country that you are jealous of because it just might save the whole world some day.
By the way. If France, Germany, and Russia decided to go to war with Iraq, and the U.S and British said no, would you be saying that this war was justified and that Iraq was a only a bad country because the U.S funded them. That was in '88, who is funding them now???
Watch out, you just might get hurt in this battle.

There is that better.

At least he posts content wirth reading, backed up with solid facts. You can choose to disagree. That's all well and good. If you resort to attacking him because you can't attack his arguments though, that really says something about you I think.

I toatally agree with everything he says. That is what most Americans feel. IU have been reading NOWAR'S posts and all he ever talks about is how it always the U.S fault. But what about France, Germany, and Russia.
Why not ridicule them too?

We are basically talking here about USA's war on Iraq. This is not about France, Germany or Russia's war on Iraq. I have also read posts here about Russia's aggression in chechenia but only where pertinent. Th logic is that when someone is doing something wrong we talk about that someone...and not about everyone else but that someone.

I also think that this kind of personal attacks on someone can only succeed in revealing the closed mentality and the vindictive nature of the person who starts something like this...it's counterproductive because this is exactly what the anti war people are trying to tell you...that the US of A and it's pro war population is immature, inarticulate, illiterate and vindictive.

You're not helping Borato19, you're making it worse. All you do is really hurt your country's image.

What good would it do to say these things? wether you say this or not, you know he's not gonna be harmed, there's really no point in these childish acts.

Usually I do not reply to this type of posts, and I have a growing list where you already were.

Ok here are my comments:

Thanks to all for the support even if we usually disagree, otherwise there would be no discussion.

I always use facts to give strength to my args. Thanks Enigma to point that.

I don't like those posting their first 5 posts with insults, those who don't read what has already been posted and post something like: you like Saddam, you support Saddam, you are anti-American, you are idiot, you are naive, you are .....

These ones are part of my blacklist, sorry guys .....

I changed my mind on some subject because I admitted that I was wrong .... read my first posts .....

I don't hate U.S., I don't like U.S. gov, quite a big diff.
I've a lot of American, Muslim, Jews, Christians, Boudhist and ? friends, radicals - not fanatics - and not, pro-war and anti-war and we discuss, we args, we are sharing our point of view ....

Why I put my location as: for sure not US ??

Due to the fact that it'is a democracy where you can say what you want, freely express your opinion .... except when your opinions are against that war, even for good reasons, you are called: Anti-American, not patriot, betrayor, Saddam supporter, blacklisted ........ is that the democracy you believe in ?

Not me.

If you have read my posts you would have noticed that I'm coming from Belgium but you didn't. In fact, as I said in some posts ago, I'm coming from Zaïre, and I know what is a dictator ....

It's alway U.S. gov fault .... sorry but regarding Iraq situation there are enough facts which shows that U.S. gov is mainly accountable for that situation ... again, search in the posts, mines and some others like sccotc, GuyFromPakistan, ......

Borato19 read my posts, you want to discuss about the crap France, Germany, Russia, China, ... did and still do ? no problem, let's open a topic ..... but this one is about Iraq, France with the nuclear plants and weapons, check my posts, german company manufacturing WMD in Iraq, check my posts, Russia in Afghanistan, check my posts, ......

For the rest, I don't feel smarter than anyone, I spend my time reading, watching, discussing, sharing point of views ...

The end ....

oops, sorry for that long post but I already made longer than that

Why are you bored at school, I hope it's not because you are way infront of the other kids in your class, that would definitely be a worry, unless of course you have yet to reach high school. Maybe you could do an essay on the effects of a world nuclear war on the world/usa economy you seem to have a good insight into the effects of that.

There are stupid young people no matter where you're from, it's not isolated to the U.S. Caps happens to be only 15. I didn't know a darn thing when I was 15. Then I found I didn't know a darn thing when I was 20. I'm beginning to think I didn't know a darn thing then I was 25. I'm sure it won't be long be long before I realize I didn't know a darn thing when I was 30. And on it'll go through life, no matter where you're from. To believe otherwise is true isolation from reality.

AS FOR THE REST OF THIS THREAD:

I don't believe half the crap nowar posts (despite his "evidences" which he reagards as "facts", but which I regard as circumstantial, at best) but I'd rather debate with him than come in, attack, slander and wish ill on him. Perhaps this thread will be closed soon for lack of substance..

I'd certainly agree those are the years you tend to have beliefs you think will never change until they do a few years later. I can even remember when a few vietnam films came out in the 1980s I thought it would've been really cool to have been in posession of an M16 and killing all those "gooks", I suppose this younger generation will feel the same about Iraqi soldiers, or Muslim fanatics

So because he hates your government he should be killed?

I'm sorry but i don't see how this is any different than terrorism; someone doesn't agree with you, you smoke 'em.

nowar....regardless if you and I don't see eye to eye all of the time, you go right on ahead and say what you feel and believe.

Maybe I'm forcing myself to live in a dream world, but I still want to believe that we are doing "something" good in Iraq. We will (I truly hope) provide them with somethings they have not had in a very long time....Freedom of Speech, Freedom to Express, Freedom to an Opinion....w/o the fear of reprisals.

I served in the military for over 10 years and I would have fought and shed my blood to allow my country (or others) to retain that right....

You keep saying what you think and feel bruddah.....I have helped some to keep that right and I would never even conceive of taking that away from someone (no matter how much I disagreed with them).

To bad for CAPS that Intelligence does not equal Wisdom. If you are as intelligent as you seem to think, though have yet to prove, then perhaps one day you'll realize that you don't know half as much as you think you do.

An example that you not as intelligent as you would like to think is your obviously mistake in thinking the Capitals have a chance of winning the Cup!!! I mean come on, we all know the LEAFS are going to win.

Intelligence is given, but wisdom is learned. If you think you're better than someone else because of some gifts you claim to posess, without even knowing a **** thing about the person you're looking down on, you are certanly not wise by any measure of the term. Also, the success of an individual is measured not by where they end up, but by how much they have grown as a person along the way.

You sir, have a long way to go.

OK so you want to be a salesman, well thats good, I wish you every success. But you don't know me, or the various educational establishments I've passed through successfully on my journey of life, so I would ask you not to get carried away with the exuberance of your own verbosity.

Caps! Thank god I found you! Tales of your infinate wisdom have spread far and wide across this planet. Everyone knows you know everything! After all, you have said so on many occasions. Please, spare me some time to come down from your divine residence where you dwell and help we with a problem I have.

I am in the process of making this 3D engine you see, using C++ and the OpenGL API. Well I've finished creating some basic vector and matrix mathematical classes, as well as encapsulating some higher level functions to perform certain combinations of these classes that are commonplace. I'm having some problems implementing an effective method of combination polygon/box collision detection though. I've been trying to get my head around ray tracing, but those infamous quadric polynomials are holding me up, and I'm having some real problems accurately calculating the reflection and refraction vectors for a plane. Also, if it is not too much trouble, could you help me grasp the concept of the Inertia Tensor?

I know all of this is just elementary to someone as intelligent and knowlegeable as yourself, but if you could please lower yourself to the level of discussing it, it would really help me out. Please though, use small words, and confine your examples of implementation to a universe with a finite number of dimensions. I cannot grasp such higher level concepts as your superior mind is able to fathom.

as for CAPS if the only thing you can say to defend youself is to talk about your grades and your little businesses then thats too bad, you obviously lack maturity!
