Who was the spy who overheard the prophecy

Who was the spy who overheard Trewlaney give the prophecy to Dumbledore all those years ago? Could it have been Regalus Black? He was a death eater and the prophecy was give a year before he was killed. Who do you think it was?

It could have been Mundugus Fletcher.He was banned from the place where the prophercy was made.Maybe he didn't hear the enire prophercy because he was thrown out.

Mundungus was banned from the Hog's Head over 20 years ago. I thought of him too, but he could not have been the guy. Hmm, now Snape, that would have been funny.

Or quite possibly it could have been a character that hasn't really been introduced yet into the books, but may play a bigger role later, we can tell he/ she is a follower of voldmort. I wonder how they were spying though ... could they have been an animagus like rita skeeter? Possibly even pettigrew, a rat would have an easy time sneaking in and listening.

I doubt an animagus would have been spotted and kicked out of the Hogs Head. You did bring up a very good point. Voldemort would want an animagus for a deatheather. He has wormtail, but I wonder if he is the only one?
