HILTON AND RICHIE: THE QUIET LIFE

Celebrity pals Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie's friendship is on the rocks after a string of arguments while making the new season of "The Simple Life."

Hilton and Richie were launched to the A-list after they dumped their rich, partying ways to live on a farm and have just finished making the second season, in which they go on a road trip.

A source on the Fox reality show tells Page Six, the studio will have to do "a lot of crafty editing" to make Richie and Hilton look like best friends in the series.

The source adds, "They were constantly at each other's throats. There was a lot of time when they just weren't speaking."

A Fox spokesperson maintains the show will not be edited to alter the truth, saying, "The show is completely authentic."

RICHIE AND HILTON 'STILL FRIENDS'

Lionel Richie's daughter Nicole has hit out at reports her friendship with hotel heiress Paris Hilton is on the rocks.

It has recently been reported the pair's close friendship has been rocked by a string of explosive arguments as they filmed the second season of their hit reality show "The Simple Life."

Sources have even suggested TV bosses need to do "a lot of crafty editing" to make Richie and Hilton appear best friends in the series.

But Richie has knocked back the claims, insisting, "I'll be best friends with that girl until the day I die."

I honestly don't understand how these two can be friends. They are both morons, I am surprised they are even alive, let alone able to function (some-what) in society with eachother.
