Mandrakes-get and keep one

The main HP site has a link to grow your own Mandrake. Look at the map at the top of the main page where it says ENTER. Click on it and go into castle grounds. Go into herbology.

I have had 2 mandrakes so far and both Ubertuber and Tuberboober have died.

Post here on your Mandrakes name, health or lack there of , and tips to grow them.

newbertuber is healthy so far. I have a black thumb when it comes to mandrakes.

I did this about a year ago and don't remeber my name or anything. Luckly, and suprisingly Nymphadora isn't taken The site had really changed.

So it took me 4 tries to get my Mandrake out but I got it.

Oh man Bogy is dead. I just got it 5 mins ago and I killed it.

This may turn into the dead mandrakes club.

I was typing my post as I was creating my mandrake. By the time I got to the end of my post it was dead. I couldn't believe it, how do you kill thoses things so easily, I don't think its possible to keep one alive.

I dont think its possible either! I had one and i had it for 2 minutes before it died!!!

I killed the first one in 5 min. It did not live to grow up. At this rate I will never know the joy of chopping one up and stewing it.

Lets see, I've had three so far: Curby-I drowned and fired it; Smurf-I neglected it; and PleaseDontDieOnMeThisTime-I think I gorged it. The longest that I've gotten one to live is about a week. But they eventually die on me

DOes it tell you how you killed them?

No, I was just guessing that what ever I did to kill it was probably the last thing that I did before it dyed.

What I don't get is how often to water it. I think I drowned one, burned one, and over fertilized one. Poor little tubers.

The site said that they like moist soil. So, I'm guessing like maybe once or twice a week?

Thanks Pulse. I guess I will have to get another Mandrake tomorrow and try it.
