BRITNEY'S HOME STATE PUSHES BAN ON LOW-RIDER JEANS

Britney Spears' love for low-rise jeans is being challenged by lawmakers in her native Louisiana -- and it could lead to legal troubles.

Authorities in the state are tired of young girls' penchant for wearing thong- showing, low-slung jeans -- promoted by stars including Britney, Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez -- and they're pushing a bill to outlaw the fashion.

State representative Derrick Shepherd insists he's sick of the sight of underwear creeping over the top of Louisiana youngsters' trousers, and he's hoping to fine cheeky kids $500 if they insist on following Britney's example.

He says, "The community's outraged and if parents can't do their job -- if they can't regulate what their children wear -- then there should be a law."

Maybe they should ban all Britney-related fashion????????


CUSTOMER BLASTS SPEARS IN COFFEE SHOP

Pop superstar Britney Spears has been slammed for wearing a rude T-shirt in a coffee shop by a disgruntled customer.

The singer had stepped into the Los Angeles establishment and ordered a frozen blended vanilla latte when a lady in the queue behind her took offense to the 'F-- You' logo on her clothing.

The angry mother told a shocked Spears, "Shame on you. Don't you know you're meant to be a role model for kids like my teenage daughter?

"Your shirt is offensive, and so are you."

The outburst proved too much for Spears, who swiftly exited without her drink.

I would not be very diplomatic in a situation like that. I would be too tempted to tell the nosy women where she can stick her opinion. Honestly, if that had been a no-name person wearing that shirt, there's no way anyone would've confronted them about it. But when people become famous, they HAVE to be role models, even if that's not what they want and the HAVE to put up with from nobodies on the street. It's not fair.
