Something About Miriam - The Tranny Show |
| Posted by: schmiggens | | Did you get this in the US? It is just starting here next week.
It's an "Average Joe" type show with I think six hunky guys competeing for the attention of Miriam and they get kicked off one each week until there is one left.
Once there's one guy left they reveal the big secret - that Miriam is a man. She had all the surgery except the final chop and she looks stunning, you would never to look at her and some of the guys in the show get quite close from what we can see in the ads, kissing and touching and rolling around on the ground.
The contestants all tried to sue to stop the program from going to air after they found out about Miriam (wouldn't you?) but they paid them off and now it's showing on TV. | | Reply To this Message

THIS is the model beauty six bachelors try desperately to bed in a new reality show - unaware she was born a MAN. The hapless lads spend weeks battling to seduce the South American stunner in Sky One series There's Something About Miriam.
But while viewers know her secret from the start, the boys only discover the truth after Miriam picks the winner, then lifts her skirt to reveal a full set of wedding tackle.
One embarrassed contestant was so furious at the shock revelation that he PUNCHED the show's producer. Now all six fellas have launched a legal bid to stop the humiliating show going on air. They are also suing TV bosses for sexual assault. Miriam is a pre-op transsexual, often called a shemale, which means she still has male genitalia.
But her suitors - who include an aspiring actor, an ex-lifeguard and ski instructor, a chef and a Royal Marine Commando - know nothing about this as they kiss, cuddle and grope her on screen.
A Sky insider said: "Miriam and the lads are all filmed 24 hours a day at a luxury villa in Ibiza. "The boys have to do whatever they can to impress her before she picks her favourite. "And at the end of the two weeks, she breaks the shock news that she is a transsexual. It's the lads' worst nightmare." The show, presented by Tim Vincent, is due to start on Sky One on November16 at 9pm.
But the fuming contestants, who fear they will be a laughing stock, have hired celebrity law firm Schillings to bring legal action against Sky and production company Brighter Pictures. They intend to sue for conspiracy to commit a sexual assault, because they didn't consent to be kissed and fondled by a man. They are also determined to sue for defamation, breach of contract and personal injury. Schillings have insisted the programme be delayed until the legal dispute is settled.
All six lads signed papers handing producers free reign to use any footage before filming. Yet they now claim they were duped - and have begged telly watchdogs the Independent Television Commission to stop the programme going on air.
A show insider said: "The men had no idea that Miriam was a transsexual. "They are horrified because there are shots of them snogging, cuddling and groping her. "At the end of the show she sat them down and told them, 'I've got something to show you', then lifted up her skirt. "One lad was so outraged he hit the producer in the face. It's the cruelest reality show yet." | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Ok this show started the other night and it makes me queasy watching it. For their first "challenge" the guys had to swim out a yacht that Miriam was on and first one there got to kiss her. Just watching them give her a little peck on the cheek makes me wierd, I have no idea how I can handle it when they start pashing.
I just want to see all their faces when they are told she used to be a man. I wonder if they all start spitting, like people do when that sort of thing happens in movies?
And I want to see the producer get punched in the face! I think if I was a guy and I was put in that situation, I would punch someone too! | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: gaboman | | what kind of guys are on the show? If they're the butch, macho type, I'd say someone's gonna get their butt kicked.
This is pretty cruel, but I don't really care | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | New rumours concerning Miriam coming to Australia and being put in our Big Brother House have surfaced. As Big Brother started before Miriam started, the rumour mongers are saying that Miriam would go in and not tell the Housemates her secret as they will not have seen her show yet.
How wierd would that be? "Hi everyone I'm Miriam" and everything's all cosy and nice until they have to shower!!!!!!
I don't know if it would work though. I got an email about the show and the details including a picture of Miriam about six months before it went to air, so I would know who she was. Well I'd like to think I would. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Yup BB4 now and I think this is gonna be the last one. If they have to put a Tranny in to boost ratings, that gives you some idea of how well it's going | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Miriam has gone into the Big Brother house. It took one of the housemates (Ryan) about 10 minutes or less to get a suspicion in his head that she was really a man, but none of the other housemates thought so and they managed to talk him out of those silly thoughts at which point he started ogling her more.
You should have seen the boys faces though when she walked in the door, under the guise of "Maria" the latin dance teacher, they were all enthralled, their eyes lit up and they strted crowding around her, offering to show her around and everything. It was hilarious.
I can't wait to see how the housemates react when they find out the truth There is one girl in the house (Ashaleigh) who is adorable, she is only 18 and is about the same mentality as Jessica SImpson, with a few MORE idiotic moments thrown in if you can imagine. I want to see her reaction more than the guys. I don't think she will understand
AND the final episode of There's Something About Miriam is on tomorrow. I can't wait to see the look on their faces when she tells them she's a man. After all the kisses and a little fondling and groping, you would want to rinse your mouth out with bleach or something
I heard each of the guys from TSAM actually ended up with $300,000.00 AUS-ish each in payment for letting the show go to air. Not bad, but I still don't think it's worth all that embarrasment. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | The Big Brother guys figured it out and Miriam had said that when she went into the House, if they asked if she was a man then she would tell them, it took them about a day for someone to get up the courage to ask her. She told them the truth, they were all a bit shocked, but they got over it and if anything it brought her closer to the girls which was wierd. She's left the house now, going to Mexico and then to London to make another TV series, she has become quite the celeb!
The final episode of There'e Something About Miriam aired last night. What an ati-climax. I wanted screaming and punching and vomiting and people getting upset about being duped. They got a little angry, but not as much as I expected. The press realease in post 2 or 3 here said that the producer get punched, but they never showed that.
They guys were all sort of expecting it I think, some of them had their suspisions form the get-go. She anounced the winner (Tom) and then said she had something to tell everyone. They had gotten all the guys back that had been previously evicted and she started saying how they had all made her feel good, made her feel like a real woman, that she loved being a woman, but ...... and she dragged it out so long, the guys must've known what was coming. Then she just said, I am not a woman, I was born a man.
Most of them just laughed it off, the guy who won said he was so shocked, he couldn't speak, the look on his face was priceless though. Then he had to decide if he wanted to go on the cruise with Miriam and get the 10,000 pounds prize money. At first he agreed to go with her, but as he was packing his stuff he changed his mind. She went on the cruise by herself, but she said she was used to the rejection, she was a strong woman and she could handle. There is always tomorrow, which I think is a great way for her to handle it. Later all of the guys said they would not have gone either, 10,000 or not.
Most of them (well from the footage they showed) seemed to be OK with it, mostly they could laugh about it. The two guys who were last though were the most upset. Some of the things they had said, about how they loved kissing her and could kiss her forever and things like that. I bet they are looking back and just cringing so much But mostly they took it well though, but obviously they changed their tunes a lot before it was aired because they tried to stop it being shown.
I think though this whole show raises questiosn about Reality TV and how far prodcuers are prepared to go to get ratings. I really don't think it's fair to the contestants in this instance. I hope this isn't just the start of a whole load of copy-cat series. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: gaboman | | i hope that one doesn't get copy cats too schmiggens... weird stuff
I think it's strange the big brother people worked it out after a day, but these people she was supposed to be dating weren't at all confused... but I guess the big brother house mates saw a little too much of her than they'd expected | | Reply To this Message
