What will happen to Harry at the end of book 7?

I've decided DADA teacher... after defeating voldemort, he wont want to get into auring... I think Ron will become a quiddich player and Hermione possibly and auror or, maybe retire to a house with lots of cats and live alone her whole life

Though the fact that harry kicks ass in quiddich and Ron aint as good kind of contradicts my theory... though I think Ron will get better.

I'm saying that he will become an Auror. But, he might just be so fed up with fighting by the end of the battle with Voldemort, that he decides to go in a completely different direction. Playing Quidditch is a possibility.

Hermione is not brave enough to be an auror. I like Grants idea of her living alone with a ton of cats. Maybe she will inherit Mrs. Figgs when she passes.

I think Harry will be sick of fighting, but with his expertise he will become the permanent DADA teacher. After all, Hogwarts is his home.

Oh, I like that last sentece: "Hogwarts is his home"

True.... Hogwarts is the only place, other than the Weasley's home, that Harry has felt "at home"

I think Harry will be the DADA teacher. Ron and Hermione will probably work for MoM.

Someone made a comment in one of the other threads, and it made me think about this.

They stated how Harry has said that Hogwarts is his true home. If that's the case, he might want to stay at Hogwarts, and maybe take the DADA position, or maybe that of the Quidditch teacher!

I never thought about the Quidditch teacher. That's an idea. I am leaning more towards DADA though. For the following reasons...

He has been doing DADA since he was 15 months old
The position is hard to fill
Snape wants it, and Harry and Snape don't like each other anyway
They formed the club in year 5 and Harry is the leader
I don't see Madame Hooch going anywhere any time soon

I agree... he's well on his way to having that DADA position.
He taught it, very well, to his fellow students during his 5th year... and some of those students were in a higher year than him.
He can do DADA without thinking, it seems...
He has the desire to make sure that people know how to use it, and defend themselves against the dark arts.

i honestly dont think he will die. DADA teacher would be cool, but i mean if he really does go through all that training to be an auror would he just throw it all out the window?

I think the fact that there is sooo much focus on the DADA position being hard to fill is very significant. Harry considers Hogwart his home, and I don't think he would ever want to leave it. And when Hermione formed the DA club, Harry really enjoyed teaching everyone. The only thing is I think I read somewhere that JKR doesn't picture Harry in an academic job. I don't remember where I saw that though.
