I have a feeling that John will be voted off tonight. But then I heard that next week's theme is Big Band (could be just a rumor though). If that is true, then I would like to see John stay in until next week and then get voted off. Then he could go on a good note.

I agree, they'll probably be a lot of bashing though, like ' Thank God he's gone ' I thought I'd be sorta happy when he left but I almost cried when they announced he was gone. Hopefully George does better next week. John did act like he wanted to go though.
Fuscia-How can you bear to already find out what happen? I'd hate to know before the show started, because then I have no reason to watch it. lol

I feel bad for the John fans...but I honestly believe it was his time to go...I think he stayed longer than he should have anyways.

I am just in the mood to find out tonight. Most of the time I wait, but I had a feeling it would be either G or J, so I peeked. I also did not want to watch a soccer game with my husband, and this is where all the talk is tonight.

Jasmine and Diana were really crying.

Latoya looked blank ... and Fantasia's face wasn't shown crying, but she hugged him big.

George looked really distressed ... John said the thing he'd miss most was "them" ... the other finalists.

So ... somewhere I told you the heavy handedness towards the others and the making nice to John last night was to put things in reverse, and that another minority going home would be a nightmare and it wasn't going to happen.

I also told you that I thought his fans had given up because so many people maligned him.

Given Diana's positioning and performance last night, that left only one non-minority ... John.

However -- there's a rumor that this may have been his family's choice and a mutually agreed upon opt-out for safety and the good of all.

I will watch but will not vote again unless mystic, or Delta or someone else pays me to do it.

Yeah it was pretty sad. Jasmine cried a lot. At the end when George was hugging John was he cryin gtoo? I couldn't see it. I will miss John, but skylar I read your John show, That's really awesome that you got to meet him! At least you know your in his heart and you really did play a part in it, and he knows he has some REALLY great fans!

Now if we could only get Fantasia off of there. I'm sorry folks, but I have never cared for her voice and her attitude gets worse each week. Although I knew that John's time had come, I couldn't help but feel sad for him.

I am sure the producers keep the current contestants away from the internet and most news shows that might talk about them, so it makes me wonder what if they sit around and talk about the votes, etc.

Yeah, same here. I can't stand her, and I don't like the way she sings. But I don't think she'll be gone soon. But yeah, hopefully next.

Skylar, look at it this way. He has fans, and he will most likely get to do the music that he wants to do instead of this pop stuff.

They showed shots of Paula when John was singing. She looked like she was into it and sad for him. Simon just sat there as long as Randy but he didn't seem as bored as Simon did. The video about him was really sad though!

Shouldn't we have some more postings from veiwers that are watching it now?

I think we mainly have East and West Coast viewers on the site. I still have another 2 hours to go.

I am on the East Coast but there really isn't any more to say about tonight's show than what has already been posted.

I can't believe John got off!!!!!!
I was literally almost crying! I'm still in shock! He was soooo good. Last Wednesday was my birthday, and I was on the phone for an hour on Tuesday voting for him only so he wouldn't get off on my birthday! So at least he hung in there one more week for my b day present! hehe. Maybe I was the only one in almost my whole school who didn't think he was boring, but he was SO good! Someone out there, please tell you you agree with me and loved him from the beginning! I'm so sad. His grandparents were so cute! LOL. I think Fantasia deserved it. Someone please reply telling my you can't stand her voice!! Simon had it perfectly right when he said she sounded like donald duck with helium! Personally, I don't like that style of voice, and I definitely don't like her attitude! Now that John's gone (sigh, tear) La Toya and George are who I'm rooting for. Tonight I think it should have been Fantasia, Jasmine, or Diana. NOT JOHN!!! Maybe he wouldn't have been a POP star, but who says the american idol has to be pop and pop only? I mean, look how far this guy made it, and he was as far from a pop singer as you can get! It's called the AMERICAN idol, not POP idol. In Britain it was called POP idol, but here it's american, and that doesn't mean it has to be pop. Josh Gracin was more country last season, and Clay wasn't exactly what you'd call pop. Does anyone else out there think so? American music is not solely pop! JOHN IS MY AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you about Fantasia. I cannot STAND her voice! And her attitude has got to go.......NOW!!!

My favorite has been Diana for quite some time now. I keep thinking, how does this 16 yr. old have the chops and stage presence to do what she does each week? No matter what she is singing, she genuinely looks like she is having a good time and is so good at it. IMHO.

this is just crazy. i read anything about John, i cry. i read my signature, i cry. i see anything red, i cry. i read obaf's post, i cry. i read about someone crying because john left, i cry. hell, i read mystic's post, i cry.

they usually have interviews after someone is out of the competiton, no? can anyone of you keep me posted. please....

does anybody here know if you can watch ryan's show online? can i download his interview with John, and keep it in my computer and watch him whenever i like?

I don't get any of these shows here (ryan on air, good day live and etc) so I'd appreciate it if anyone could post the transcript or whatever. please.

Whether you love John, dislike him or something in between ... last week when the 3 Divas were Bottom 3 and Jennifer left ... it was all about ... "America ... if you don't like this Bottom 3, you MUST vote for your favorite to keep them safe" ... and "we can't let talent like this slip through our fingers." -- and this week nothing like that.

Just Randy ... "Yeah that's the right bottom 3 and one of them should go". They KNOW who's going ... and they could have said something nicer like last night was rough for everyone.

Not only was their attitude and editing a HUGE, insulting, unnappreciative slam to John ... but also to George and Jasmine. These 3 put their HEARTS into it, and tried just as hard ... and made it further in the competition than Jennifer.

Also, last year they did the Special with the Final 6 ... so John got dissed again !

I am crying foul !

As THIS all just smacks you in the face with the overall inequity of how they treat these Finalists and run this show.

More than "28 Million" votes ... and an AI "record" Seacrest says ... "more than for last year's AI Final".

I am now convinced they are manipulating things every which way. What happenned last week was for a ratings boost since they were dropping.

Hell ... they probably bought those power-dialing devices Paula was touting on ET ... and hired people to use them.

As I said ... I won't vote again.

Poor Jasmine and George ... poor John.

All the other contestants looked so sad to see him go. John really took so much abuse. It is so sad that this experience was ruined by the nasty people who made death threats.

OBAF, I did not appreciate that the Judges said to vote so the talent did not slip away. It was a disservice to the other contestants.

Great! "Good day live" the show with the stupid host Jillian whatever-her-name that have bashed him like every week since he has been in this competition...

Is it me, or does Jasmine look like she's got this VERY happy face when they find out that they are safe?
And, sitting on the couch, the guys look so sad, Diana looks just settled, and Jasmine almost has this happiness.

Yeah i agree KJ. when i looked again, i saw that Jasime was the only one very happy after ryan announced that they were safe, and the other three were shocked , confused and sad. here are some more photos that i have from last week's result show.

Love the pics, loved the expressions George had. Wish he would of been in the top 3 tonight like last week though.

I'm sorry for John, but I will bet that he is much relieved about being voted off. I just don't think that his heart was in this competition over the last month or so. He took so much abuse. Simon was correct in saying that he took it like a man, but he is one of the judges who put John in that position in the first place so the judges are partly to blame for all this John bashing. I did say before that John's voice does not appeal to me and that he sounds flat when he sings and that if he is coached right, he will get better as he gets older. I can already say with confidence that this experience has definitely made him grow older and a little bit wiser.

By the way......those Ford commercials have really got to go.....I mean, come on, Divo's "Whip it"? Those commercials are so cheesy. Also, that salsa music collaboration on the results show was a mess. I would have much rather them skip that altogether.

Anyway, it is nice reading the different posts......cheer up skylar, I am sure John is much happier now that he is off the show and it probably won't be the last you hear of him either.

Yes the commercials have to go. First they defile "Love Shack" now "Whip it".

They are the absolute STUPIDEST commercials. Since the first AI, I have not watched one of those commercials and liked them. NONE. That's just my opinion.

They just make me hate Ford.

I already HATE Ford.... Found on road dead. Fix or repair daily.

Well, I have to say that my Escort Wagon has been great. We did not set out to buy a Ford, but it was a great deal and it is perfect for my needs.

I know... but I still am not a fan of Fords.

Iceprism, i agree w/ u! John has definitely grown up during this competition, and I think (hope!!) that this will have opened doors for him and he can put a record out. (sooner not later like the season 1 finalists who have yet to have song on the radio, except for kelly and justin of course) I loved his voice and his personality from the beginning, but I do admit that he needed a good voice coach to help him "tighten it up." (his voice, not his personality!) Maybe I liked him because I've grown up listening to Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darrin and it was so cool to see him on this kind of show! But I never really thought he was actually boring, just a little flat at times. Augh, I still am so mad he got the big boot!! I definitely was expecting one of the girls to go..maybe Jasmine. Who does everyone think should have gone, whether or not it be John? More importantly, who will the final 2 be? WHO WILL WIN THIS THING???

I say LaToya will ultimatly win.

I have to say that John was THE hardest one to see go. I don't even think I was that sad when JPL, my personal favorite, left. That poor kid has just been through so much, and has taken so much crap for being in the position he's in. And the only reason he's there is because he is talented and is persuing the career he wants! The fact that each one of the top 5 were so upset to see him go was also a little sad. Last night was the only results show that made me cry. You feel proud of that kid, and it's hard to see him go. I wish him all the luck in the world, and hope he continues to persue a music career.

wow...john finally got sent home..he was hanging on like a hubcap in the fastlane...but he finally had to be let loose. We all knew he wouldnt win, but it was kinda fun seeing him everyweek...even though each performance could be combined into one endless song....they all sounded the same ya know....oh well... he was a cool dude, and now he can be cool and home....peace to ya john...Go FANTASIAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

JPLalltheway29, John was definitely the hardest to see get the boot! I loved him, but knew that one of these weeks would be his turn to go, and that he had little chance of actually winning, but he made it so fun every week! He cracked me up dancing! And I just love his voice. I know a lot of people don't, but that's just me, personally. And, GUESS what this week's theme is!! Just guess! Big band, our friend's ELEMENT! If he had only lasted till this week, he would have lasted till next week too because there was no way he would have been voted off after singing his style of music that he does best! Sophia-
1. Leah-NEED a new look! voice-not that great
2. Matt-i love his smile no matter what simon says and his voice...good voice.
3. Amy-um, i liked her.
4. Camille-different voice, i liked it. should have made it farther.
5. JPL-didn't like him much, i think he was a little bit fake.
6. Jennifer-i didn't like her, but her voice was good and maybe she didn't deserve to get off. but bad attitude.
7. John stevens-very different voice but not too good for this competition
8. Jasmine-i love her she's so cute.
9. Fantasia-don't really like her, despite her voice.
10. Diana-i love her voice and her style.
11. George-LOVE his voice and his personality, he is SO cute!!
12. La Toya- definitely best voice in the competetion. i hope she wins.
