Does Harry have a Godmother? |
| Posted by: gaboman | | I'd say he definately did, but I don't know if she's dead or not... and I also don't know who she is sorry | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | I think Professor McGonagall is Harry's godmother. She is a teacher, so she would not be able to tell him. It would explain why she would sit on the wall at Privet Drive all day when the Potters were killed. She also gets very upset every time Harry is injured. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: gaboman | | But, no offence to her, but isn't she a little old? I mean, she's probably old enough to be Harry's Grandmother. I expect his godmother to be someone younger, like a close friend of Harry's mother, probably.
Could be Petunia certainly hope not though | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | No, it wouldn't be Petunia... and if it is, she's doing one hell of a job hiding it.
McGonagall does have some emotional attachment to little Harry.
She bought him his first broom as well...
I think that it could be possible, but not likely.
We've never heard about Lily's friends at school.
We know who James was close to, but no friends of Lily's have been mentioned. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | Why yes it would. Heck, I even look like I could be his mum! More than Lily did. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | That's true... hey, maybe you're really Lily Potter, and you've been hiding out all these years. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | I wish.
I do hope Harry finds out that he has a very nice living Godmother.

| Posted by: daemon17 | | Honestly, it would be nice if he did, but I don't think he does. Wouldn't Dumbledore have told him in the end of the Order of the Phoenix? | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | He would, but I don't think J.K. would. I think we are going to have to wait and see, but I hope he does have a Godmother out there. He needs to catch a break. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: gaboman | | He'll probably end up being related to the Weasleys in some way... then they'll be his family and blah blah blah he'll be happy | | Reply To this Message

Not if he isn't the secret keeper on that particular thing!

| Posted by: Heatherhobbit | | I think it may be Professor McGonagall too. She was pretty miffed about him asking her to go to Hogsmeade in book 3. And the Nimbus 2000 too. | | Reply To this Message
