I think Harry and Ron might both be seers. In book 4 when they are doing their Divination homework, they get tired of it and decide to just make stuff up. But think about some of the things they think up. They aren't totally accurate, but some of their 'made up' predictions come pretty close. They are wrong on the days and exactly what happens, but it may just be because their joking around and not taking it seriously.
Book 4, Chapter 14, Unforgivable Curses
"Right," said Harry, crumpling up his first attempts and lobbing it over the heads of a group of chattering first years into the fire. "Okay...on Monday, I will be in danger of--er--burns."
"Yeah, you will be," said Ron darkly, "we're seeing the skrewts again on Monday. Okay, Tuesday, I'll...erm..."
(Well, Harry does end up facing a dragon. So, while it wasn't skrewts on Monday, he was in danger of burns)
Lose a treasured possession," said Harry, who was flicking through Unfogging the Future for ideas.
"Good one," said Ron, copying it down. "Because, erm...Mercury. Why don't you get stabbed in the back by someone you thought was your friend?"
"Yeah...cool..." said Harry, scribbling it down, "because...Venus is in the twelfth house."
"And on Wednesday, I think I'll come off worst in a fight."
(Well, Harry and Ron end up losing a treasured possession, each other. Ron thought Harry lied to him, or 'stabbed him in the back', and Harry thought that lack of support from Ron meant that he was too being 'stabbed in the back' And they do have a fight.)
"Aaah, I was going to have a fight. Okay. I'll lose a bet."
(Well, neither one of them lose a bet, but other characters do...Fred, George, who are connected to Ron and Bagman who is connected to Harry)
A little later, Hermione joins them and when she looks at Ron's paper, she tells him that he appears to be drowning twice. Well, he is a hostage in task 2. And he might have gotten the 'twice' because Hermione ends up being a hostage too.
I don't know. Could be nothing, but I thought it was too coincidental not to mention. | |
