A disillusioned and distraught Britney Spears departed Los Angeles yesterday April 24th bound for London for the European leg of her world tour. Britney was shattered by the English tabloid story that broke today about her current boyfriend who after apparently claiming to be single and available turns out to have a wife and babies stashed at home. Britney who hid out in her bungalow in the grounds of L.A.'s swanky Beverly Hills Hotel all day was heard slamming doors and shouting and screaming at someone on the phone and at some hotel staff.
Britney who seemed to be alone until late in the afternoon when she was joined by her assistant was brought two packets of Marlboro light cigarettes at different intervals by hotel room service and has been seen chain smoking on her recent excursions out and about L.A. But the most notable sign of her condition was when Britney on the way to the international airport and on thinking she had given the media the slip jumped out of her SUV at a gas station sobbing and ran inside to buy some cheeto's cheese sticks and orange soda. But after spotting the media outside she quickly ducked out of view to wipe her teary eyes smearing her makeup before making a dash back to the car and speeding off to the airport. She stayed in the back of the car whilst her bags were unpacked and the police tried to clear the media horde and then a very spotty complexioned Britney Spears make her way onto her flight. Britney's first concert is at London's Wembley Arena on the 26th of April.
I feel sorry for her. I mean it can't be easy for anyone THAT famous to live in the public eye day-in and day-out. Everyone has a few tears when they break up with someone.
To find out from the press that your boyfriend is Married with kids and saying he has broken up with you? I mean come on, give the girl a break. Of course she's upset. Anyone would be.
You can do it (be famous) without having all the media attention like this though. Look at celebs like Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Gwenyth Paltrow, etc (there are more, I am just having a brain strain), they live their lives "in the public" but you don't hear as many things about them.
I think if you love the limelight and use the paparazzi to kick-start your career, you cant' turn around when you've "made it" and tell them to leave you alone.

Spears' weekend woes are the latest in a string of public breakdowns. According to reports, friends and family are concerned about her emotional health.
Earlier in her British tour, Spears' received a lecture from 'N Sync singer JC Chasez, who is opening her UK gigs -- who criticized her for her infamous Las Vegas wedding in January.
A friend tells British tabloid the Daily Star, "She's on a roller coaster of highs and lows at the moment and when she's low, she's very low.
"She was really upset by JC's words. They were very hurtful, especially since she's given him his first big, solo break as her support act on this tour."
Everyone's having a go at poor Britney, no wonder she's in tears all the time. I heard Justin T was expressing his worries about her "mental state" as well. I guess it's nice to know people care when you have a break down, but it is SO not good to have to do it in the public eye.
I have always (well not always) wanted to start a magazine called "Paparazzi" and follow the papparazi around all the time and take photos of them crying and looking horrible first thing in the morning and publishing the fact that their wives left them for a 20 year old or whatever. I agree that Kevin shoud have sorted his life out before getting together with Britney, but Shar also seems really bitter about the whole thing, which is understandable, but taking it to the press and airing it all for the world seems a bit OTT for me.

The pop superstar told regulars at The Bulldog coffee shop in Amsterdam, where marijuana use is legal, that she enjoyed pot smoking, according to American magazine In Touch.

Considering they are together only because he cheated on his pregnant girlfriend I find this really hard to believe. Britney also has been accused of cheating of former partners. They say "once a cheater always a cheater", so they might both be just wasting their breath. Although you never know, they might be made for eachother and this might be "it". But I am skeptical.
