is ps2 better than xbox?

Xbox graphics are somewhat better, but I find that ps2 controller easier to use.
Games load faster on xbox due to internal drive.
Ps gets my vote

I have to say that the GameCube is the fastest load time. both metroid and Zelda have no load times at all.
I have a friend that owns every system except for the cd-i that came out in the early 90s and we have tested the same games on the 3 major systems.
Sadly enough, the PSII's graphics are poor every time with the same games with a tie between the Xbox and Gamecube. On a happy note - i received a free PSII two days ago thanks to my local connections.

PS2 IS BETTER THAN X-BOX

heheh - I was speaking of graphic wise - the truth on that is in the eyes of the beholders and i beheld when we took the same games for each system and played them.
BUT!
I do like the PS II much better then the CrapBox.
the only things I have found enjoyable is Halo and Panzer Dragoon.

I would also agree the ps2 is far better bang for your buck there is plenty of games for the console so your not to bored . the controlers are comfortable , ya can play your old psone games if you want to again lol ,the dvd is kewl and it can play any burned cd for music.
the xbox is beast at 10lbs lol and it doesnt want to play certain burned cds , but the dvd part of it is way better than the ps2 , the cube I got that and i reminds me of a glorified n64 ,but atleast the disk are more convient that the bulky cartridges back in the day lol

I have to say - the only down fall to both the ps2 and the Xbox with their DVD is - you cannot play Svcd or vcd. Your out of luck - then the Gamecube doesn't have this at all.
I don't know, the cube has GOOD CGI compared to the attempted N64 .

I purchased the cube for metroid and zelda - mario and a few other games.

metroid is bomb - love it - and they are working on Prime II

I must say - some of the ports from playstation II to gamecube are a little more clear and brighter on the gamecube, but it takes nearly one year for them to do it - so it really isn't worth the waiting (which is why i have both).
All in All - I like both systems - just not the Xbox because it says "Mircosoft"

Alright i find that the playstation 2 is better although mines broken and i'd like to purchase a second hand one, i've found this on ebay but i dont know whether its good value for money or not.

Don't bother getting another PS2 now, it's too late thery're already coming out with a PS2SP with a dvd-rw so don't bother wasting your money, you'll just want to get the next one. Or at least that's just my opinion. It's your money,so it's your descision. But it's up to you dude.

xbox is better than ps2

I would say of course PS2 is better.

-Ps2 controller is easier to use
-much better games
-never freezes of overheats
-DVD player built in


xbox is just not as good


-there are not as many games
-was overpriced when it came out
-and the worst thing of all is it is made by microsoft. it's just a computer they named xbox and gave a controller.

I have a Ps2 and an Xbox and i play my comp more then both.

I would pick the xbox as the better system as of right now. Graphics are better, loads are faster, online is quick and easy, games are coming out like mad, getting really cheap, Halo 2 is almost out, and you can play steel Batallion that has a $120 controller.
But the Ps3 is coming out in 1.5 -2 years and until then the xbox is the most state of the art machine. Ps2 had it's run and now its the 'Old' system. but it has lots o classics.

Oh ya, Definalty not GameCube. Thats for kids.
