I heard 2005 too, but I don't know if I believe it! That's going to be a much bigger move than POA! I hope they can get it done then though

Harry Potter's Harry Potter to me. Movies or books, I'll take them both and as much as possible.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: peregr!n

I keep watching the second one, but really only to listen to the way Harry says: Fred. George. when they pull up in the flying car. It's really funny!

Reply To this Message

Posted by: gaboman

and you just repeat that part of the movie over and over again?

Well, at least it's not the part with Ron vomiting slugs

Reply To this Message

Posted by: peregr!n

Thats good too. And yep i d repeat it, because it makes me laugh everytime, and i like laughing! I never....ever....watch the bit with the spiders. *shudder*

Reply To this Message

Posted by: gaboman

That part scared the heck outta me the first time. I'm used to it now, thankfully.

I'm wondering what part of the 3rd movie'll scare me... probably the dementors. :shivers:

No matter how many times i watch COS i still never watch the spider parts!!I will never get used to them!!
I cant wait to see what the dementors look like on screen. Ive seen pictures, but i really wanna see them!

Reply To this Message

Posted by: gaboman

They don't look that scary yet, but I know when I see it in the movies it's gonna freak me out, enormously!

Hehehe don't blame you for skipping the spiders

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Lawless

I'm with you, pip... I can't watch the spiders part without feeling freaked out.
I HATE SPIDERS WITH A PASSION!! There is NO good spider, in my opinion.

I love Harry Potter though... and I can't WAIT for PoA to come out.
Sherry and I are going to see it together!!!

I love spiders. ^_^ Especially jumping spiders. They're so cute the way they try to act all big and tough. *watches as everyone steps away, giving her strange looks* Hey, wait a minute, come back!

Oh man. I guess we have someone who takes after Hagrid-loves the wee beasties. CD, just keep the spiders away from me. I smash them with shoes.

Gotta love my beasties. Which is why I'm going to Romania to study dragons with Charlie.
Hey, I can pretend.

We can pre-book now and get a present... I want to do that, but I have to let my friends down on that Thai holiday first... ok

Also I'm hoping to get advance screening tickets but with a movie this big, they're hard to snatch

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Lawless

True... they are VERY hard to get

Reply To this Message

Yoyo's company also owns Time magazine here. They get the tickets and I told her to be ruthless to get them... but usually they're taken by their marketing department and no one from the magazine knows about them... stupid.

I heard some talk about tickets in here. I MUST GET TICKETS FOR THE PREMIER DAY. It's tradition, I always see it on the day it comes out. Even for the first movie, before all the stupid " I only watch the movie cuz its a big fad and dont really know anything else about harry potter" fans started taking over. Last year I had to sneak in. Don't worry I still paid, just for another movie! This year I probably wont be able to sneak in even if im desperate. So if anyone has ANY info on how i can get in, because I really dont want to resort to cutting a hole in the roof of the theater and gliding down, PLEASE let me know.

i highly doubt i can get a job at the theater wish i could though. will probably be a busy summer dno. ok but other than getting a job in a month at a theater, how else can i get tickets! I dont think that ill be able to get them on ticket master or anything. Are they even available? Maybe for the next four weeks ill sit around checking and do nothing else. But that will be hard.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: fuscia

I know that theaters in my area will sell tickets up to a week early.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: chodder

Yeah. We can only sell them a week in advanced because the computers can only reach that far into the future. Mainly because we don't usually find out what movies we are getting until a week before the actual movie is released.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: gaboman

Weird, I got my tickets yesterday

Anyways, looks like I can't get the advanced tickets, but it's not definate yet...

If I can, I'll be going to see it twice

wow i just realized all of you are online, we should have a chat or something one of these days, cuz its annoying having to wait for posts. Also I hate how those fake hp fans go and take up seats in the theaters... you know the ones that have never even picked up a book, and only like the movies, they should have a resserved section for fans who actually read the books and go beyond into finding out things, and creating theorys, and pondering possible clues and solving mysteries.. ok i know thats totally unrealistic, but its just not fair how some movie goers only get tickets on the premier day, and those of us that go beyond and actually care about the books and hp is actually a part of life dont... just not fair...

Yes, I saw it too... you see Harry falling, and a dementor flying after him right before that.

Oh, Grant... I saw the trailer at the theatre this weekend (right before we saw Shrek2 So good) Anyway... they showed that part that you and I were talking about, where in the book it's Mr Weasley asking Harry to promise him to NOT go seeking Sirius. It is him in that trailer... not a professor.

JKR quote on POA film:

"London Premiere of Prisoner of Azkaban
I first saw 'Prisoner of Azkaban' a few weeks ago when it was barely finished. I loved it immediately: it is my favourite Harry Potter film so far, so I was looking forward to seeing it again on Sunday.

The premiere was fun, as always. It was the first time I had met Gary Oldman, David Thewlis and Michael Gambon, all of whom do a really magnificent job in the film. And it was, as ever, great to see Dan, Rupert and Emma, who get taller and better looking (and in Emma's case, more beautiful) every time I see them, and are still, miraculously, the most grounded, least egotistical teenage actors you are ever likely to meet. The last time I saw Dan at the after-premiere party he was encircled by a group of determined female fans who were not keen on letting anyone else near him, and that included passing writers, but we managed to shout a few words at each other...

Somebody from Warner Bros. offered me one of the giant, blow-up Aunt Marges that they had tied around the front of the cinema, but I thought it would have been more fun to untie them and let them drift over the country for the next couple of days. Pink Floyd did it with that giant inflatable pig... but most of the people reading this will be too young to know what on earth I'm talking about."

Grant... don't even think about entertaining that idea. You already HAVE an awesome tattoo, known only to us in the Order. Your wand was upgraded, and the cloaks Dumbledore gave us have all those "special powers" Do you REALLY want to give that all up to be a Death Eater, and be hated by many, and lose your family, who loves you dearly?

SEEN IT

- just got back
- wont give anything away ( i hope)
- not better than the other movies
- not worse than the other movies
- DEFINETLY very very very DIFFERENT from the other movies
- this time it actually looks more british
- very scary
- some crap added in
- some stuff taken out
- then again that happens in all of them
- acting, not bad, could have been better on behalf of some characters
- best part , great special effects
- worst part, really missed old dumbledore
- hogwarts has changed
-beautiful scenery, and music
in general very very different from other movies, and in some ways obviously the book, was only about 2 and a half hours long but felt much longer, maybe thats cuz i had to pee throughout half the movie
oh and it was great watching hermione punch malfoy, hes such a coward
