| You should try registering with a talent agency kind of thing. Get proffessional photos done and take them around to the Agencies and see what sort of work they think you should be dong. Make sure you get a good reputable firm, especially if they ask you to pay money to register with them. You should do some research on the firms and who they have worked for and that sort of thing before you sign up. Unfortunately there are a lot of dodgy ones out there.
Also a good idea to do Drama at school if they run it. Even do it outside school, hook up with your local theatre club if you have one. The stage is a great way to get into bigger things and is good practise to get used to the "showbiz" life.
Otherwise just keep checking the paper like you would for any other job. Local theatres and small commercials, even some independant films advertise in the papers. Get the "artsy" paper if you can.
