i think it's to late to stop the war in iraq and this way is never going to work if you want to stop the bloodshed, i think to win this war a real commitment is needed being a overwhleming force i mean so much army that no matter which way you turn you see an aliied flag. and pull out of the cities then work your way in slowly colaspsing in taking away all arms searching endlessly. at the same time take the good guy stance have water and supplies given' out in mass quantities.
as for the rest of these countries with curropt governments CUT OFF AID, a little starvation will make them remember who there friends are, this mentality of feeding the enemy doesn't work and makes no sence cut off all aid not just government. you have no idea how fast they will change and when aid is sent back in send it back in with conditions...no more arms and 25% or more of the money has to be spent on schools with teachers from outside of the country (allied countries).
tougher immagration on our boarders and no more acceptance of terroist by the intelligence comunity, there attitude of letting the smaller terrorist roam free in the hopes of catching the big fish is just plain stupid ssince the higher up's would have a foundation to stand on it was removed.
Why have a military functioning like police this is so stupid, use them the way they should or not at all. don't even let me get into the rules of engagement, talk about dumb letting a enemy fire at you even if they have no aim light them up for god sakes before they get lucky.
The big problem today is ther US is fighting much 'friendlier' with todays times and tv cameras. Back in the olden days in wars we and everyone else were much more brutal. Everythign you do now is under microscope and criticized by everyone else who knows how to do it better. Our 'nice' way of handling things hurts us more though.
so pull the camera's out they already proven to be the stupiest idea ever they get killed they interfare with the missions and one guy even drew out there plan of attack and location i mea what will it take to recongise them as nothing but a interfaring bunch of idiots. If the government wants to fight like that then there is no war we'll ever win....the price of freedom is paid in blood now everyone is so affirad to be seen as is cruel that we have this stupid view of how a war should be faught. Brute force is a scary thing these "insurgents" would never dared of doing this stuff back in th day cause they wuld of know it would of only brought them total eradication. now they use our own media to give them advantages. Funny thing is i think if our leaders stood up and said forget you our troops are not going to stand by and be masacred so you can sleep well at night knowing that nothing "bad" is happening to other people because of you and your silly little vote. Our countries need a real leader all we seem to be getting is cowards. BUsh is a coward to cause he won't step up completely he's worse cause he's just a pretender. The British faced insurgents in the 1920's in Iraq and ther was no 24 hour news then, and are you proposing " total eradication" in Iraq?
There has been no massacres of US troops in Iraq - period. And going by the numbers of dead people in Falujah we are hardly going soft on anyone because of the media.

We're the one's that watch the news media. Who's at fault if the media shows only the more "exciting" things, usually the worst events going on in the world. That it seems is what gets the highest ratings and for tv companies ratings are what counts. Are we as much if not more to blame for what is show on television?
