Do we focus on Baghdad and face the citizen's and soldiers who's minds are the most poisoned from fear, terror, and oppression and most likely to resist?

Or do we mop up in the south, taking the small towns, moving to bigger and bigger towns? This would give more Iraqi's in the south the ability to see the truth. Use their smiles and relief as PR. LEt the word trickle into Baghdad that one by one the towns are falling and the people are better off.

How about we promise the Iraqi people a free and democratic election when Saddam is toppled and we wont meddle in their affairs again... or is democracy only good when wrapped in the good ol red white and blue... Operation Iraqi Freedom AKA American Hegemony and suppression of the heathens.

I think thats the idea.

But they won't have any elections until Saddam is defeated.

I think we should definitely present some sort of plan and convey it to the Iraqi's.

In my personal opinion - I say we go for the jugular. Put together a stratigic plan and take the capital. Once you control Baghdad, you releave some tensions in and around Iraq.
