| there are many programs for your mouse that will do what you have stated.
normally with IE you have to have a mouse movement plus a keyboard action. i.e. hold ctrl and scroll to change the size of the screen text.
browsers like avant allow you to hold the right button and click the left to go back a page or hold the left and click the right to go forward a page.
so double check your mouse settings if it happens again (start > control panel > mouse (in windows)).
and as for the link opening in a new window, some pages are just built like that. was it a page that normally didn't do that? or one you had never visited before. or did all this start after visiting an unfamiliar page?
anyway, if all is well you don't have to answer. but if it happens again feel free to give the details. i'll help if i can. and i know Ron and AM are in here often, too. they are very helpful as well. | |
