Devilsnare arrived as a plant to the St Mungo's ward. How did it get there?

If it was in a locked ward... how did Lockhart get out of there, and start wandering around?

Now that is a good question. I wonder if someone in an invisibility cloak came in and opened the door and dropped off the plant. Perhaps the plant that was delivered was a normal plant, but it was switched.

There's another possibility... or, perhaps the nurse that brought it in is also a part of the scheme!

I also think there's something strange about the nurse... hmmm, wasn't in the book something about how she didn't notice it's a devilsnare but she thought it's just a harmless plant? WHAT kind of magical nurse would fail to notice the difference?? St. Mungo is a respectable hospital... they're also used to people cursing each other in all possible ways, so a nurse should be trained to this kind of attacks. Plus, with the way she treated Lockhart, she kind of reminded me to Umbridge's false kindness. >:-(...

What if a certain rat used the imperius curse on her?

Heeeeeyyyyyy... good thinking, Sherry. Though, would Peter be strong enough in magic to pull that off?

Well he was able to become an animagi with a lot of help. The curse should not prove too difficult.

Hmmm... maybe I got something wrong, but the books kind of leave an impression that people under Imperius Curse behave almost like zombies. And, the nurse seemed quite conscious, blabbing all the time... I don't think she was under an Imperius (although Peter would have been able to do it by my opinion).

It would be great if the story goes on to describing *conspiracies* throughout the magical world and not only in Hogwarts and the Ministry. The nurse could be a Death Eater rat in St Mungo's! 'Cause, as far as I'm concerned, there are many things left to be cleared out with this whole Broderick Bode thing. Also, I don't know why JK Rowling would open a whole new area, St Mungo's, and never write another bit about it. There's something that's going to happen at that hospital... definitely.

I think Maja is right about St. Mungos being the next big place to delve into. The nurse could be a deatheater or just very stupid.

Yeah, she could just be very stupid, that's highly likely as well

Now children, let's not go badmouthing staff of the medical profession. They may be misinformed, misled, sometimes even downright ignorant, but never stupid.

Sorry mike.

If you say so, mike... Well, then the only possibility remains that she's a Death Eater.

A healer can never be a death eater!

She can only be innocent
