JK said there will be a new Minister of Magic in book 6. Who's it going to be?

I voted for Lucius. Yes, he is currently in Azkaban, but we are due for an evil plot twist. He is rich and well connected in the ministry.

I'm with you on that. I think that it will be Lucius... because he's going to use his money to weasle out of being shown as a Death Eater... and people are afraid of him anyway. They will back down and allow this to happen.

But, I believe that the series will end with the right person as the Minister of Magic - Weasley.

Arthur has a long way to go before he can be minister. He is in a tiny department. He needs to advance. Boy would Percy be mad, if he is still alive, that his dad might be the next minister instead of him.

Well, I think that we might see some advancement in book 6.

Yes, the order would want him to get a position of power or at least one where he could watch all the deatheaters.

I think it could be Lucius, but that's only if he does a hostile take-over - in which case, why him? It'd probably end up being Voldemort, if it's anyone evil Wouldn't it? hmm... well, perhaps...

Lucius can squirm out of great deal of things, but he can't be a Minister after serving in Azkaban! Good connections? It won't be enough... it *can't* be enough! Or can it..? Oh....hmmm

The Minister's probably going to be someone completely new. Amelia Bones wouldn't be a bad choice either.

I don't think he'll be elected to the position of Minister that'd be silly

But it's very likely he could hold the position, for even a short period of time.
