Pop beauty Britney Spears has signed a deal with Elizabeth Arden to develop and market her own line of perfumes and cosmetics.
The singer's first product will be a fragrance, which will be launched at American department stores in the fall, says the New York-based company.
Bosses at Arden add that Spears is "personally involved" with all aspects of developing her upcoming product.
Spears says in a statement, "I love perfume and cosmetics, and am so excited to develop my own line with Elizabeth Arden."
The sexy star will join fellow celebrity toiletries moguls Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Dame Elizabeth Taylor and Naomi Campbell, who all have their own bottled scents.
Spears is also launching a chain of diners in London. She hopes to find culinary success in the British capital after her New York eatery Nyla closed down after incurring huge debts last September.
And Britney is hoping the British nation will embrace her Southern-style food.
A source says, "She believes the Brits have better taste than people in the States. She's sure her diners will be a big hit.
"If the food is half as tasty as Britney, there'll soon be a diner in every high street in the country." | |
