During the 6th year, the students will learn how to aparate. Who will teach them this? They also will have selected what career path they want. What will they choose? What classes will they continue with? Will Divinations be dropped? Who will remain in potions?

Ah, you see, I believe the aparation teacher will be someone we haven't seen before. And we'll speculate, and speculate, and in the end, they wont be the one who is evil, but we'll think it jumping ahead of myself there, but there you have it... my theory

I think classes will go on pretty much as usual... everyone will just be a little edgy around the DADA teacher, whoever it may be

I think Madame Hootch may be the aparating teacher. I am very curious to know what Hermione chose as her career path. Ron probably chose Auror, although, I don't think he will be very good at it.

Oh true, she wouldn't be just the Broom Stick coach, would she?

Maybe she's like a Physical Education Teacher or something though.. hmm...

Hehehe I think Ron will get into politics personally...

Hermione will realise she lacks focus soon, and wont know where to go

Where do they learn aparating by the way? They can't learn it within Hogwarts, can they?

Hey, good point about apparating, gabo. It's apparating training... a lot of free space would be needed for these classes. It could be near the castle, but it could also be half a country away...

Ron might have some talent for mechanism of the broom sticks, or something like that. Something practical and still magical. *starts humming "The Logical Song"...oh*

Hermione, yeah she's the classical "uomo universale" case. She'll have the most trouble with deciding on her career. She just might choose a job with muggle relations, in the end. Although that would be boring......

How do you think Harry's going to get in the Potions classes? Snape only accepts those who earned the highest grades on the OWLs. And, Potions are essential to an Auror career...

Well, I think that Harry will HAVE to get in the potions class, or we know that he won't become an Auror. I can't picture Ron being one. Maybe Ron will get really good at Quidditch and go onto a professional team!

Hermione... hmmmm, arithmancy?

Harry will get into the Potions class. Half of the school experience for him is being tortured by Snape.

Hermione, well arithmancy is not a career, but it is needed for being a healer or to work at Gringots.

Yes, that's why I suggested that she would be doing something with that knowledge.
Didn't she say that it's her favorite subject? So, one would stand to reason that she will take those classes, and do something within that field.

It could be in Hogmeade, one of the places Hogwarts students never went except when they learn apparating

Hogsmead is an excellent idea. It is just down the road from the castle.

Yes, I think that Hogsmead would be a great place for them to learn.

They could be taken somewhere else as well though... some place that only Dumbledore, and maybe one other professor know about, that is completely safe and protected.

Now that is a great thought because Harry needs extra security now that Voldemort is back. I would bet that one of the more powerful teachers will be there when Harry learns to apparate, like McGonagall or Dumbledore even.

I will bet that Hermione is taking different classes than the boys.

To apparate, as they are in Scotland, they might go to a remote place on the Highlands, sealed with a spell much like the one around Hogwarts, to keep people away...

They're in Scotland? I thought they were close to London.

Yes, Hogwarts is located somewhere in Scotland.

Where did they say Hogwarts was in Scotland? I can't remember was it book one?

Just something to note...Wizards can't apparate until they are 17 years old. So that means, out of our trio, the only one learning to apparate in 6th year will be Ron and that won't be till last term.

They can't take the test for their license until they are 17. I would assume that Harry and Hermione will learn also, but have to wait to take the test until after the school year ends.

Hermione's birthday is September. Does that make her younger than Ron and Harry or many months older?

Younger.

So she actually started Hogwarts when she was ten, not eleven?

I believe that Hermione turned 11 during her first month at Hogwarts. Her actualy b-day is September 19, but it does not say what year.

When are the Weasley twins birthday's then? They had both learned to apparate before they went to Hogwarts.

Fred and George turned seventeen during April of Harry's fourth year. They took their apparation test after the term had ended.
