War Opponents march on D.C. called traitors, left-winged violence makers |
| Posted by: oneofpeace | | The protest, the second day of a two-day demonstration against the Bush administration, drew mostly peace activists, along with a few relatives of U.S. troops, organizers said.
There were also a few counterprotesters calling the demonstrators "traitors" and yelling, "Stop the left-wing violence."

| Posted by: oneofpeace | | I posted this article, though not really big news, for this reason.
Isn't it uncantingly simular to these forums? I mean people excercise their constitutional right to disagree with this war and they get called "traitors" or "left winged".
It goes to show you how much In Reveiw truly reflects that of our societies. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: oneofpeace | | Could be, maybe. But of course I don't think non supporters of this war are being extreme. I don't think supporters of the war are being extreme. However, I think the ones who label those for not being in agreeance are. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Inner City Blues | | Not everyone against the war is extreme, just as not everyone for the war is extreme. But too often are "war monger" and "traitor" the words thrown around. It's stupid to try and label people based on their support or lack thereof for this war. Counter-protests are never bad anyway as long as you allow others the right to peaceful assembly. Calling people traitors is only bad whe it comes from people in government. | | Reply To this Message
