Well I wondered if they would do it and I heard yesterday on the radio that one Cinema here is doing the trilogy in a movie marathon, starting at 12.00 noon on Saturday, they will run all three LOTR movies back to back.

At three+ hours each, you would be there until like 10.00pm that night. I don't know if I could sit through it all. Could you?

One of my friends wants to do a marathon. I had to tell him no because my eyes would get too tired.

heck...i'd do it oh yeah! i'll just need potty breaks....

Oh man! All those glorious hours with the Lord of the Rings and no kids. AH there is a heaven on Earth. I have to agree with Shadow, include potty breaks and I would so go there.

I justheard they give you half an hour between films, so add an hour and a half to the actual playing time of the movies and you would be at the Cinema for over 12 hours. Too long for me.

I still wish I could go. Boy do I need a vacation.

Not only is it that long, but I got the starting time wrong, it starts at 1.30 pm, so you would leave the Cinema at about 1.30 am the next morning.

You have got to be a REAL fan to sit that long.

I am a real fan. I would love it! I am one of those people who can watch all 3 Godfathers in a row-yes even the one with Sophia Copola and that is the sign of a true fan.

I have never seen any of the Godfather movies.

The price for the movie marathon is AUS$25.00 for all three movies, which is not bad considering we usually pay $12.00 - $16.00 for one movie.

I think if they weren't all over three hours long and if the last movie hadn't been so crap, I would go and watch.

Yes, the last one was bad. LOTR, at least they were all wonderful.

MAAN that'd be hell for me. I was half annoyed I'd spent so much time watching the trilogy once... watching it all over again, in one huge dose would probably kill me, and leave a very bored corpse.

Although I do appreciate some of LOTR in very small doses... try half an hour at a time.

umm, yes ice cream sounded good too
and a warm jacket for sitting so long in a cold theater.

The theatres are really hot where i live...but i take my jacket though! The reason: to sit on, because i cant see over all the tall people that always seem to sit in front of me!!!!!

i'd need..nothing...i get to engrossed the story...

I have both extended versions of FOTR and TT's and this weekend I bought a bootleg copy of the theater version of ROTK.............. as soon as I got home, guess what I did??

I popped some popcorn and got my 2liter vanilla coke ready and sat my @ss in front of my tv for like 9 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant wait until the ROTK extended dvd comes out............ I want to see the deleted scenes....

the girls were watching them with me!!! I am already doing the tolkien-brainwashing on them....... never too young to learn to appreciate greatness!!!!

Mine are too small. Damon gets scared, and Nikki is too little to have any interest. Still, I do watch TT or FOTR when I have a night that I can't sleep.

Ah, not enough hours in my day either. I don't think I could stand being in a theater that long.

I would go!! As long as there was a little break in between each movie, dont think I could sit that long, but man I would love to do that

One time before me and my friend went to see ROTK (I think it was the 4th time i saw it!) we got up at 4am to watch the EE FOTR and TTT before we went to see ROTK.
