The All-talk, No Action Approach |
| Posted by: Curley Joe | | [Liberals] state that "the struggle against Islamic radicalism is a festival of nuance. It is not quite a war, and it doesn't yield easily to simple notions of good and evil, friend and foe." That point of view is precisely why Americans will never trust a Democratic President to protect them. We are smart enough to reject an all-talk, no-action approach to security threats in which we sit around endlessly yakking with intractable friends and implacable foes. There are 50 years of damage to undo from such policies, and it is nothing short of remarkable that in three years, the Bush doctrine has pinned back the ears of terrorist groups and their supporting states. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: h@ts | | Curley Joe and Bush's idea of the struggle against terrorism:
P!ss your allies off, by bullying and threats and spying and calling them all kind of names and encourage such grown up behaviour as renaming foods, so no-one feels like helping you.
Cherry pick intelligence and when it's proved wrong blame everyone else.
Make post war presumtions by cherry picking advice and again when that proves to be a wrong, cover it up by holding an enquiry that stops anyone talking about how how much of a balls-up you've been making of things until after the election.
Certainly no " festival of nuance" there | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: oneofpeace | | Sometimes I wonder about the IQ levels of some of these thread starters and war supporters.
Some do present a good case, however others are just flagrantly disregarding of any intelligent position. I'm sure I don't have to point them out. | | Reply To this Message

Yes, asantana, that's EXACTLY what this thread starter states: "kill first, think later." This is what the U.S. does and this is what the U.S. did in Iraq. And this is the reason for which you are "grateful" to the U.S.
This is precisely why I take all of you anti-U.S. Bozos seriously — always have, always will.
