Several sites are reporting that actress Naomi Watts has been approached by Warner Brothers for the role of Professor Umbridge in the fifth movie.

I've come across a lot of crazy rumors in my time, but this one officially beats out "Rowan Atkinson for Voldemort" as the most laughable casting rumor I've ever heard.

I don't know HOW should could be Umbridge. I see a stumpy, fat woman! Older too.
But, if they can make the Beautiful, Charlize Theron, into that chick she portrayed in Monster, I guess that anything is possible.

I completely agree with you. I just don't understand HOW this could even be a rumor.
She isn't fitting for the part... of Dolores Umbridge, that is.

It has to be a rumor. There is not enough makeup or special effects to turn her into Dolores.

That's true hehehe interesting how someone would've come across that rumor though! I imagine Umbridge as being more like.... Hmm... there you go, can't even name an actor to fit...

See, give her a Brittish accent, and then you have a perfect Umbridge.

Have you seen the movie, "Matilda" The lady who plays Trunchbull. She would be EXCELLENT to play Umbridge.

But, she's going to play Aunt Marge. I still think that she would be much better suited as Umbridge. She's got that mean face, and can pull it off.
