Just saw an MTV Special on I/P

There was an mtv special on Palestinian teenagers and the Israeli teenagers, on how they live their lifes, i was proud to see that there was a group of Palestinians and Israeli teenagers getting together and being friends and trying to make peace, On the Palestinian side they talked about the curfews and the harrassment in the checkpoints they have to go through, only the minimal problems they face everyday, and not the major problems such as the wall and fear of getting killed, and on the Israeli side they talked about the deaths, there was this girl that had her friends hurt in a suicide bombing ( 02/22/03 i think ) and a week later she went in a bus, i kinda felt her fear of dying, and i understand that Israelis have to go through this every day, so i feel bad for them too, there was this Israeli guy who his mother died and he avenged death on the arabs, notice he uses the word arab and not Palestinian, not good, I recomend that you guys should check when it comes on again. It was MTV

Well of course both sides are scared of dying, although it's worse for the Palestinians because they have all the harassment and the wall, as well as being treated like second-class citizens.

If you learn when that special will be on again, let us know!

I saw one a year or two back [perhaps the same one] where a group of Israeli kids and a group of Palestinian kids were broght to a camp in the US. They spent time talking about their feelings and experiences, they spent time in activities that helped them learn to rely on and trust each other, that sort of thing.

Later the cameras visited them at home, where many had tried, with varying success, to maintain their friendships and introduce their friends and families to their new friends.

It was a captivating documentary, although as I remember it built great hope and left me depressed at the end...
