What is on your list/pile of books that you are going to read?

Right now I have my eyes set on Mein Kampf. I'm going to wait until I am done with school (summer) so I can focus my on intention of reading it. The last thing I need is to worry about other work while I’m trying to read into Hitler’s mind.

I read Mein Kampf.... a friend "highly recommended" it. Wasn't all it's cracked up to be. But it was alright.

I've got a whole shelf full of books waiting to be read... damned if i remember what any of them are. One's a biography of Marvin Gaye... umm... Also a Dean Koontz book there... Hmm...... other than that, not sure...

I know it’s mostly about his racial slurs and such but I just feel like reading it.

I still have to get around to reading this biography about Jim Carrey I bought a few years ago.

I just bought a bunch of books. I think that I have like 10 new ones to read.
A dragonlance trilogy. A Star Wars trilogy. A sci-fi trilogy.
And then... a couple books that were made in to movies:
Mona Lisa Smile and Cheaper By the Dozen.

Oh I just read the book Psycho not too long ago - good stuff. About as good as the movie is, which is surprising, considering the movie is Hitchcock

You're right chodder, though Mein Kampf didn't make make me want to go out and kill any Jewish people.

It'd be interesting if it did though...

Yeah. It would be strange. Like it had some sort of hidden messages to make you go crazy or something. I actually would not be surprised if there are not in it now.

Ah, but perhaps you need to read it in German for it to have an affect

Which is why we're unaffected!

Erm.......

I also remember I have The Wizard Of Oz sitting on my bedside table that needs a reading............ I'm not too sure what really made me want to re-read this, but there you have it...

I remember reading that in elementary school just as an independent reading and it was crazy. Especially since I was at such a young age.

I think I’m going to read Treasury Island again or maybe Moby Dick

Hehehe "Maybe I should write a book about whaling! No one's ever done that before! Thank you... scene from Moby Dick"

I want to get all the Oz books and read them, but I guess it'd be hard to find every single one of them... too bad

I have about three books I've bought and not read yet. My girlfriend likes going to Borders all the time, so I usually get a book too.

I'm waiting for Broken Angels by Richard K. Morgan to get here. It was released this week. This dude kicks ass. If you guys like sci-fi, pick up his first book Altered Carbon. It rules. Let me know if anyone wants info. on it.

HECK - If it's anything like Aliens.... COOL! But if it isn’t.. aw I'm just joshing ya

I went to my school library and rented Mein Kampf till April and I started reading it. And let me tell you, the looks that I get while walking through the hall are not good. Its like they think I’m goose-stepping down the hall. Its crazy! Just because I’m reading this book they think I am a follower of him. Stupid people and their assumptions! STHU! Sorry for being off topic, but I'm sure HECK approves

I hear you chodder. In high school I did an extensive report on Hitler, as well as Rommel, amongst many other NON-Nazi's. I'm fascinated with history. But as soon as you look into someone's past that is 'evil' you're looked at cross. Oh well. Screw people. Here's to mental enlightenment.

I just got Amara by Richard Laymon to read. Read the first few chapters and it's so far alright. Typical Laymon book.

People in the US may not know who Richard Laymon is, though I assure you he's from Cali (at least was, before he died), has sold millions of books, and has been even been refered to as "Stephen King without a conscience."

His books rock!

Has anybody yet read "Three Weeks With My Brother"? It has to be way different from his other books. Can anyone tell me if it's any good?
