| Yeah, but it was all rehearsed. :tdown: The normal outcome was so boring that the script writers needed to up the ante. They wanted the Coy family to stand up and objected for which none did. That led to a natural dead-end.
The producer can't have that TV reality ending, so they had Steve do an ad-lib in preventing it to end that way. Steve CREATES the TV turmoil and stages a bedlam in the show finale. That caused mother Catherine Coy to get upset and walk-out with the rest of the family , except Randi's father Bruce.
The producer then chases down Catherine and her kids and begged them to returned, promising them a better ending. Steve then explains that it was a fake and the need for the show to pull the gag with professional actors to get the mixed-up couple......and had to double the winnings. Catherine then applauded but not one of her sons.
Randi's best friend Anna the maid of honor just sat there the entired time and she was in shock at all times. Maybe she and her sister Melanie were upset they didn't get to participate in the wedding but just sat there with the rest of the people. | |
