We know that Nymphadora Tonks is a metamorphmagus. She can change her appearance at will. This is something you are born with. The question remains, how do you know you are one. J.K. Rowling would not introduce a character like this for no reason. Tonks can not be the only character that can do this. I have a suspicion that Harry is one as well. When Aunt Petunia used to cut his hair really short, it kept growing back over night to the exact way it was. Could this be the clue that Harry is one? He never knew about the existence of metamorphmagi until book 5. He has never tried to change his appearance.

and you're saying he might?

You just never know Twisted. J.K. does very few things without a purpose. I think Tonks is a huge clue.

P.S. Welcome to the HP forum.

Dang... great thought, Sherry. It's true that she would cute his hair and it would go right back. That could be a HUGE clue that we're overlooking. Wouldn't that be great if he was?

Yes. Think about it. Hermione wanted her teeth shortened, but wishing did not do it for her, yet Harry can grow hair overnight.

Yes, the hair sounds like something that hasn't been touched on, and you may have linked it to something very important

Take note JKR... we're on to you... yeah yeah, you may think you're high and mighty with your pen and that imagination of yours... but we've got Sherry!!

sirius... Sherry is very intelligent... and has an 'eye' for little things like that.
I don't know if it's a gift, or a curse... but, whatever it is, I'm glad that she's got it.

Boredom. I have two small kids who keep me up too much at night. I like to read books over and over. It is relaxing to me. There was too much detail to Tonks always changing her hair. I had just re-read book one, and it kind of clicked.

I have read all of the books twice except for the last one. (Thanks for the welcome!)
I've read a lot of the posts but have not posted too much because you all seem to know it way better than I do...and I am totally and utterly a HP fanataic, so y'all must be OBSESSED!

Plus, it has taken a while to catch up on my reading about what all has happened in the HP forum...

Picture this. Harry is back home at Privet Drive. He is bored, thinks of Tonks, and out of sheer boredom tries to make his hair change color! Poof! Orange hair. It could happen. OR more likely, he would try to make his scar disappear.

Think of how much easier it will be to hide for him. The question is can he make the scar disappear as well?

that sounds like an interesting theory, but I doubt it... :/

Someone will turn out to be a metamorphmagus. J.K. does not introduce strange characters or powers for no reason. Tonks can not be singular. I am betting on Harry being one.

*shrug* It definitely would be interesting.

We had better hope that it is a good person who is a metamorphmagus. What if a deatheater is one.

Yikes! That'd be horrible...

Lucius: *disguises himself as Ron and smooches Hermione*

I have put my bet on Harry being the other metamorphmagus. Do you think there are any others and if so who?

Hermoine has to have some other talents except studying. She may be a Metamorphmagus or a Animagus.
