American Idol: Season 3 Forum

I love MATTHEW!! i really really hope that he moves on! he was great last night! the only thing that he could have done better was sung louder- or the music was too loud- somethin- i love matthew though! what are your thoughts on him?

Well...

I think he's cute and as someone said said , and I agreed, he has good stage presence...but I think I was kind of with Randy on this one.

He just didnt do much for me...I expect at this point in the competition that people should be showing their best...and I dont think he did that as compared to a few others...

But many have disagreed with me....so dont take my words to heart.

i believe that if matthew doesnt make it this round then he will make it in the wildcard

Now I'm going to go a slightly different direction, so bear with me.

I don't think Matthew is wildly gorgeous or a hunk at all. I think Matt is an "everyman" with some charisma, charm and what I call "twinkle".

Think of Clay last year and you will better understand. Matt looks better than Clay did at first, but also has some of that same little "something" that Clay had.
I fully realize that this comparison could hurt or help him.

I think Matt's voice is good and they said it wasn't "strong" or "powerful" enough. I think it just wasn't LOUD enough. Also think for awhile about how the camera showed Matt as compared to some others.

Matt's a force. If he doesn't advance, I think he is one they will hopefully bring back to try to even things out males v. females in the F12.

While I would love to see him be the Wild Card pick, I am not so sure it will happen.
They Wild Card could very well go to another person who was third best who was better still than Matthew.
He's a hottie, albeit, but not as strong of a singer as I would like as an American Idol!

Matt does have that boy next door quality.

Yeah, he is a cutie. His performance was so so but he's cute. Maybe he'll be one of the wild card. How many wild card are there?
