Biography
From Fasha, 1998:
Tate was chosen as one of ten dancers from around the nation to attend a special once-a-year special immersion session at Julliard School of the Arts. They liked him so much that he was given a full scholarship to attend the summer 1998 dance program. Tate, who scored over 1300 on the SAT's has been courted by almost every major and minor university in the US and Europe. Tate will finish his senior year in the Performing Arts Center at Gibbs High in St. Petersburg with a double major in Dance and Musical Theatre. He hopes to attend either NYU or Julliard School of the Arts, after graduation.
He says, "I am really looking forward to perfecting my craft and becoming a big success on the all the world's stages." In december 1997 he was chosen as one of ten dancers from around the nation. His high SAT's scores plus his talent has brought him to the attention of every major university including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Princeton. He also had a chance to reconnect with Justin and J.C. from `N Sync this summer.
From MMC Fan Heather, 1997:
I ran across a biography of Tate from last school year, and as of last school year, he was attending a high school in St. Pete. During his freshman year, '95-'96, he was involved in the Drama Club, the Spanish Club, Thesps, Chorus, the school musical, the school play, the variety show, golf, tennis, and wrestling.
The biography also lists Tate as having a McKnight Achiever Year, and having outstanding accomplishments. At the end of last school year, he was planning on majoring in vocal music. As far as I know, he's doing basically the same thing this year. It looks like he's enjoying life as any normal high school student would, while also continuing to perform some in order to get further training.
