questions about the whole "Israel vs. palestine"

Our class is having a mock trial about the whole Israel vs. palestine conflict and I'm the attorny for the Israelis <which I heard, will be very hard> ... and the case is that Israel voilated UN resolutions 181,242, and 338—which are basicly peace treaties and restictions, the like.
What are the basics that I should know in order to defend this?
Right now—currently—I'm lost. no, seriously. I don't know where to hold on or what to start on. and as I am not a specialist in this criteria, I am in need of some help.... unfortunately, my classmates, who are complete lazy-bones and are the witnesses, aren't of any help..... help?

I hope these help you. Just remember the best way to defend a postition is to understand both sides of the situation. Read up on Palestine and the plight of their people to get a better understanding of their perspective. It will better equipt you in your arguments for Israel. Good luck!
