Scooter Girl on Access Hollywood

American Idol: Season 3 Forum

I try to watch Access Hollywood every afternoon. Today, just as they were preparing to end the show, they threw out a "teaser" about Scooter Girl. It went something like, "Hear about Scooter Girl's pre-audition health emergency."

Presumably, this is a teaser for tomorrow's show. If you're interested in Scooter Girl, you might want to check your local listings and tune in.

I never watch the show. Please let us know what her health problem was .

There was a very good segment about Nichole "ScooterGirl" Tiere on Access Hollywood this evening. They had a bunch of clips from her auditions and edited in segments from an interview she gave them.

The short version of the news about her health problems is that she is a recovering anorexic. She told how she had been in the hospital, being force-fed and treated for a variety of ailments (including heart trouble), while she and some other anorexic girls in her ward were watching the first season of American Idol. She said that she weighed only 70 lbs and was so weak that she could hardly stand up when she watched Kelly Clarkson being crowned as American Idol.

That young lady has made a remarkable journey from that bed to her AI audition in less than two years! But I don't think she has a prayer of winning the competition, even if she is miraculously brought back into it.

She was very upbeat about her chances of coming back as a Wild Card. Who knows, maybe she will, but I really doubt it. With the talent in the Final 32 already, why would the Judges OR the voting audience need to go back further to find their Wild Cards?

Yes, I said as much in a post to Obaf on a separate thread yesterday.

With what we saw from the first Group tonight, I think that the Final 12 is going to be a very tightly packed bunch. I can't imagine that there would be any need to go outside the Final 32 to find Wild Cards. This is a very talented bunch we have now.
