Yeah baby... It's that time of year again when the crazy paparazzi minds of People magazine put their noggins together to reminisce the year that has passed.... Yeah it's like $10 U.S. or $15 CND, but it's worth the moula.... Even though they decided to put the year's most annoying couple on the cover (you guessed it: Bennifer. Personally any couple who goes by one name that was penned by fusing the love birds' first names together spells SPLITSVILLE. But enough about that)

When you pick this mag up, look to the left of the page: they got our shining star on the front cover! (in a tiny box, no less... Gotta make room for Bennifer's egos)

But, if you're buying this for the mere purpose of the fact that they mention his name and hope that they did a full out expose on him that would require more than three pages of info and dirt, then yeah, you're probably going to waste your money. Unfortunately (or fortunately, however you look at it) 2003 was a dynamo year and there wasn't enough room to do a full spread of him. There is a half page message though with a pic of Clay on Ruben's back (yes, the article is about BOTH of them, showing how they aren't enemies, but best buds). It mentions Clay's TITN single and how it dominated the charts.

The special edition mag also features shocking events that occurred last year, like SARS, and also does a special tribute to those megastars who passed away such as Johnny and June-Carter Cash.

I bought it, and I think it's worth the price.

It cost me $15 (CND) but it's about $8 or $9 US. It's a pic of Clay and Ruben giving the C-Man a piggy back ride... Awesome, eh? Yeah, it's a pic we've all seen before, but now it's on glossy thick paper... hehe... (C-Man! Yeah, that's right...)

Definately buy it. It makes a great coffee table read...

it made me happy, cuz they said he sounded like he could be the next clay aiken if they had their eyes closed, but he was SOOOO boring! and they told him that he has a voice like clay, but not the personality, and he asked if that's a bad or a good thing, and they said its a bad thing!! i was upstairs then, and i could hear my sister scream YESSSSS!!!!!!!!! from downstairs! haha

Clay Holmes Aiken has a wonderful personality, and an excellent voice too!

clay kinda was open to things. he was an EXCELLENT singer, and simon and randy knew that (paula wasnt there @ his audition) but they didnt like his whole image thing, and well.....face it, people somewhat need to have a good image to be in AI. i think that not only did clay have the kind of attitude that is open to change and criticism, but he is also very nice, happy, and brings a good feeling into the room. he is postive and happy and is NOT boring!!!

yeah, its neat, i was listening to all these Radio interviews, and after clay left the ppl were like almost speecless, and blown away by how kind Clay is. But if you actually think about it, politeness and niceness are very few these days. Happiness can go along way

i was watching some tv show, i dont remember what it was, maybe it was just music videos or something, and i was thinknig about how all thses new bands try to be "anti comformists" and they go against how the media and the music industry forms you to be like everything else, but it kinda seems like the people who do let the industry change them and shape them into "pop idols" are the people who have all the money now. well.....not EVERYONE, but i do believe that to some extent all stars have to let the people change them somehow. clay got a major make over. on his looks...and ONLY his looks, because he is still soooo nice!!!!!!!!

i really don't know why i said ALL that, i was just in a thoughtful mood.

What you said is true to an extent.... A lot of artists have undergone a physical transformation in order to boost up record sales or to even gain a fan base. If you look at a few of the artists who have changed recently in the past few years there is a difference in their record sales and their maketability. With every physical change there comes either more or less cha-ching in the bank. Yeah, the bottom line is, that when you sign that contract to major labels you gotta have the "pretty face" or smokin' body to make it big. That's just how superficial people are today.
This is just a thought, my view on things. Thank goodness for a show like AI. At least with that it allows you to explore a singer during their physical transformation (basically every contstant on AI I, II, and III) but it also allows you to get to know the person as just a, well, person. Not just some silly little music-making hand puppet.

Yeah, if you're finding it hard to understand just what the HECK I wrote before, you're not crazy. Today I'm just finding it hard to not talk insane.

haha it made sense to me!! AI helped "regular people" (if u can call such a wonderful person as Clay "regular") to become a star, and to be recognized and liked, and not just based on looks or cool music videos or whatever it is that makes other new artists stand out.

American Idol just goes to prove that if you set out to reach for your dreams you will get them and conquer them all overnite. Like me I am still working on getting over my big case of stage fright.....
