How can they do what they are doing to such a sweet lady. She is very beautiful and she should be treated like a Princess. Did you see how good she looked in that skirt last night. Simply eligant. I feel bad for her.
Believe me Randi is a sweet lady and she does not deserve this for any amount of money | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Ken NJ | | http://24.87.85.162/images/012004bigfatfinace.jpg Randi Coy, 23, of Scottsdale, Ariz. has chose stardom rather than the classroom. She knows what she's doing taking fame over tutoring. I don't blame her, she wants the money and willing to pull the biggest gag on her friends and family. We all love seeing how far she can go without getting exposed in reality TV. Like most people, Randi puts on a face to be as nice as she can to Steve, after all, they are engaged. This leaves the viewer wondering when she'll snap and let the monster inside her out. Randi will do almost anything for money . < -- Just Click Here

But for Randi Coy, the series appears to have been a bumpy ride...."She's a stuck-up, 99 cent Barbie. He's great!" wrote another, named Chopzoe . Earlier this month, the former yoga teacher told a gathering of TV critics: "I definitely have some resentment." She said deceiving her family proved to be more painful than she'd expected.
And last week, participation in the show cost Coy her job as a first-grade teacher at Pope John XXIII Catholic School in Phoenix. She resigned from her post after school officials told her she'd been away from the classroom for too long. They had granted her a leave of absence to do the series in December, but said she did not return to work by the date she'd promised.
Principal Bill Langley said Coy had to decide "which obligations came first," her students or television stardom. Coy chose celebrity . |

| Posted by: Ken NJ | | No problem, the show with Randi is just so funny with her expressions captured on camera each week. The eyeballs get larger and larger each time.
One funny scene this week was the looks of Randi enjoying Steve's makeover before he meeting Randi's parents. She said" "Give him a new look, take care of his (hairy) back, that rug on his back....hope he's a lot more convincing after makeover....maybe he passed of as someone I like to date...I can't figure out how my family is going to react." Then the TV camera is trained on Steve flat on his belly with the wax strips zipping and Steve screaming. We even got to see Randi in a moment of enjoyment, actually gripping the wax strips and tearing it off Steve's back.....and Steve yelling "ouch....ouch." Sorta lets Randi get back at him for all the other gigs he pulled on her. | | Reply To this Message

She is a *****! Are you so stupid or shallow that you can not see what a pretentious, shallow, money grubbing, fake blonde ***** she is?
Big ass, fake hair, fake teeth, and tortured her parents to get some money. Hello!
I for one am glad to see her get it. She represents all of the fake blonde sluts who think their **** don't stink. Hooray for Fox.

The biggest shocker was when I saw Randi apologizing and asking the audience to withhold their opinions until seeing the show ending tonight. Hmmmmmm..... what's going on? Randi said the show only took two weeks to shoot, and she went back to work as school teacher, but her agreement with the show required her to go promoting it also which kept her busy. When the shows aired, that got the school officials upset and it came down to her having to resign.
http://graphics7.nytimes.com/images/2004/01/05/business/05fox.jpg Something told me earlier today that this reality show was heading for the skids, when you see their own star of the show not the day after the finale, but before to promote the show.
That told me that they anticipated a lot of TV critics and viewer reaction, unsatisfactory to what they're expecting from own TV audience.

Big, fat 'Obnoxious' impact Show's viewers feel her pain
By Ann Oldenburg - USA TODAY - February 16, 2004 excerpts only:
Randi Coy has no regrets about embarrassing her entire family on national TV. ''I wouldn't say 'regret' so much,'' Coy, 23, said Friday. ''I would definitely say when I signed up, I didn't expect my family to get as emotional as they did. I thought this was a practical joke , this is great, this is going to be so much fun.'' Randi was trying to justify the show ending, before it even being aired...but her parents are finding the fellow distasteful. At the end of last week's episode, Randi was in tears.
''I would have never put my family through this if there wasn't in it something for them,'' she says. The one word she would use to describe this experience: ''life-changing.''
''Every hundred hours of film goes into one hour of TV,'' she says. ''So there are definitely some edited parts . But they are portraying the show pretty much how it went.
''The first few episodes I was laughing as much as anyone else. I'm a pretty good sport. But lately, it's a little harder to watch.''
She can't say whether her family is still speaking to her after this humiliation, because that's the key to the finale. ''There were definitely repercussions from the show.''
But feedback from folks on the street has been all positive, she says. ''I had a lady come up to me and cry on my shoulder. I've gotten a lot of sympathy; people asking, 'How could they put you through this?' I've had guys come up and ask to be my big, fat, obnoxious fiancé.''
The Catholic school in Scottsdale, Ariz., where she was a first-grade teacher wasn't so thrilled with the concept of the show, and some reports said she was fired. ''I decided to resign,'' Randi says. ''We had no idea how big this show was going to get. They didn't really know what the show was really about, that it would be about all these lies.'' |
