They called off my sons school today due to the ice storm we had this morning...
This got me thinking about schools and children's education...
Does anyone think a private school education is better than a public school? I went to private school and I was always (and still am) under the impression that private schools have an edge on education....am I wrong? I have thought long and hard about taking my son from public school and putting him in a private school for this reason.
Another problem I have with public school is the things they always are selling....my son comes home with more things to sell than anything Ive ever seen....just this year alone (the year 2003-2004)...in the first two quarters he has broguht home about seven different packets of things to sell....now I ask...how many kindergartners are gonna go door to door and sell these things? They know the parents are the ones that have to do it...and our families and friends willl buy it because of Ryan...
I have to say that the more packets I see the more frustrated I get...I dont always have times to go around and do this...
Does anyone else have this problem in their district?
