Well Clay is going to be a hard act to follow. He had the most amazing voice, and I will bet he has perfect pitch as well. So far, no one has dazzled, but they may take it up a notch in Hollywood. We can hope.

While Clay is an exceptional singer... there are thousands of other people out there who have AWESOME voices. WHY aren't those people auditioning for this show? Is it that they don't have the time? Do they have no desire to try out, or if they were to win, to be a slave to the contract which you are stuck in?

I agree... it was such a pitiful embarassment to see that only 13 people made it through to Hollywood from Houston. There HAD to be more good singers. And, I don't agree with everyone that they did put through from that group of 13.

I think the huge lines keep many people away. Not everyone can camp out for days to get a spot. They need to do something about letting the tone-deaf audition.

I agree with you, whole heartedly. I mean, what about having judges that are willling to be in these cities between certain dates... and you have to send in for a alloted time slot to try out. Then, you don't have these lines. All you have to do is sign up on line, or on the telephone. You will receive a date and time that you're audition is for, and you will then receive something, via mail, if you register over the phone. That is the ONLY way you get in the door. So, then we would have this problem of lines. And, maybe it would encourage these idiots to not show up. AND, I wouldn't televise this crap. That's why we get all these idiots trying out... because even though they KNOW that they suck, they have a shot at being on national television.

Well we still have L.A. and San Francisco to see. The idol could come from there.

Apparently LA are full of pretty people who can't sing.(the presenter said that, I live in Europe and can only catch the show one week (or day) after (so I might be a bit late posting here!)
